I have a problem with my far cry 2. All the graphics are set automaticly to maximum. If i want to change them, my choice is only between maximum and ultra maximum. The game is slow because of that. How can i lower them to like medium?

I can play it on ultra high with

amd athlon 64 x2 4800 2,5 GHz OC to 3,00 Ghz

and Nvidia geforce 9800 GT 512 MB

and 2GB Ram on 1440x900

without antialising !

And play it maxed out with 70 fps

i have a quad core 2.66ghz, 4gb ram and a x1950 pro 512mb ,and can play this Maxed out...for all those ho want to play this game in high setting just buy the x1950 pro it kicks ass..

yes if u have enough memory.

(2gb RAM should be enough)

@coffieboon man i got 1.7GHz,768mb RAM,Asus Ati Radeon a9550 128mb Pixel Shader 2.0b and i can run crysis,kane & lynch dead men and witcher(i think far cry 2 works too)

won't play smoothly because of geforce 6200. You need at least 8400 or 7900 GPU.

if you have GeForce 7300GT like me (lol) you can run it on medium,but if there will be fire it start lagging like shit ^^ thats why i play it on optimal settings

Got it on low 2 :s When is put it on high everything starts lagging.... Wonder if it lags at medium...

depends on what graphics card you have.

I've got a very weak one (nvidia 8400GS). Recommended is nvidia 8600GTS/ATi x1900 or higher.

But I think it should run ok on medium if you play around with the settings.

I haven't played Far Cry 2 for a long time, will get back into it soon.

Nvidia Geforce 8400GS

- The reason I set the display on Low settings was because of FRAPS recording and the settings on high causes a drop in FPS and the point of this video was not to brag about graphics. Once it is converted by You Tube it becomes very mediocre, (eg my upload was 46mb and YouTube converted it into a 14mb "video" :( ... you do the math.
