I like Hauptwerk as I have it myself but I think this video is rather a let down, perhaps because of the way it was recorded, the organ just doesn't sound right and does no favours for how good Hauptwerk can be.
@goodchappy No doubt it sounds better when recorded directly instead of with something other than a handycam. That's why continue to build contrebombarde.
The point of this video was to show that Hauptwerk is capable of going everywhere you want it to. This was in an airplane hangar. So, take the instrument to the people instead of making them come to you. You're not held captive by location any more.
By the way, the sound in the room was amazing! You would have been impressed.
But it is true! Hauptwerk really sounds better than this video makes one believe!

@ClassicOrganWorks that's contrebombarde the website. It's a dot com. The comments won't let me add the URL

How many SM450's did you have hooked up for this???

None. We used a massive 2 channel audio system. EAW mains and QSC subs. 24,000 watts or so.
The Sm450s use dome tweeters. In a space that big you need really good compression drivers.

Very good question Joel... I have no idea. There was nothing there to point at.
So I'm guessing it was some stab at pointing to the almighty.
