At 00:54, I can hear the cylinders blowing and sucking air. Obviously, this means that they're in good (if not functional) condition. I hope the restoration goes well for you guys. My ultimate dream is to get a little 0-4-0 tank engine and restore it to operational shape.
I wouldn't want to be standing anywhere near that cable god forbid if it were to snap. Cool video nice truck and that last shot of the locomotive on the lowboy with the fall leaves was a nice touch..
This is the official YouTube site for the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum. We are an all volunteer group, and I am just one of the volunteers. As one of my contributions to the museum, I produce the videos on the site from my footage or footage shot by our other members.
The locomotive is not, but is currently in our shop. We recently had a boiler survey done on the engine and are waiting the report to see what we will need to do in terms of work and fundraising to return her to steam. Donations are always welcome as are new hands to help us reach our goal of having steam running at our museum. Thanks for the interest.
I think there is one of these in Bellingham, WA. At Bloedel Donovan Park.

This thing should have been junked 65 years ago. It is nice to know it is never going to run again & will be reduced to a pile of rust!
Junk the steam locomotive!
