first off, gotta admit this scene is pure pwnage awesomeness. also gotta admit that i dont Bleach because of Ichigo. at first, he was interesting, sure... but when he started acting like a bi-polar yo-yo, he pretty much lost me. If you recall AFTER episode 125, Ichigo started flooding his "inner world" , thats why before the final battle with Aizen, him and Zangetsu had that talk how Ichigo stopped progressing and it showed how all the skyscrapers disappeared and it just became Karakura town under the sea, but then after he fought Zangetsu for the last time, he became crazy strong.

@Koyuki13 if their zanpoktou breaks it will heal after a few days or something like that unless they pull something to fix it right then.Ichigos done that a few times as i remember.He broke zangetsu fighting zaraki but then zangetsu was fine after they talked and they went back to kicking ass. the only time breaking a zanpoktou killed the spirit was during the zanpoktou rebellion ark and then if a zanpoktou was defeated by anyone but its wielder it died or something to that effect.

It's funny how Ichigo progressively gets weaker throughout the show: He starts using Bankai on simple Hollows at one point (even though most of that is in filler--but still...colon pee. Sure, he gets strong--at the END. But you can't argue he does seem to lose (or get whupped for a while) by very easy opponents.

@TheOkami1113 The most annoying thing is that, Ichigo's Bankai is supposed to give him superior speed, and after his battle with Byakuya, he seems to be slower than almost any stronger opponent he faced (no more epic afterimages) . Hitsugaya, or Byakuya, would not have trouble defeating Grimmjow (both in terms of speed, and power), and Kurosaki was a match to him, only during their third fight (and his power is considered to be captain-level?).

@ShiroiLuke Exactly! But then again, you have to think about what Kubo is doing. If Ichigo just went around destroying people, he would become a threat--which to me would make for an awesome plot. What if Ichigo never lost his powers to the final attack? What if he just returned: "Hey, guys, Aizen's dead now. Let's go home." He'd be inhumanely powerful--he'd be a threat like I just said. Plus the series would end there. And we can't have that, now can we (sarcasm)?

That bit of Hollow against Ulquiorra was out-of-nowhere; the Mugetsu was a sloppy way to preserve Bleach's continuity and "beat" Aizen. Basically, "suddenly, Ichigo whips out this devastating and evolved power because of some implausible determination" is a common scenario, here.

@Servannus Not really Byakuya did sort of own him until the hollow form took over thats the only reason ichigo won. Then ichigo struggled with bankai because every time he exerted himself the hollow would take over more and more of his soul so he slowed everything down. While training to control hollowfication he was slow ill say that but when he mastered it he was faster then pretty much everyone else. Do I even need to comment on the Aizen fight? Lol...

So I think that it would've been better if instead of him being a brute like Kenpachi he mastered all of the skills. That would've really made him the best. I mean look at the Espada, they've basically mastered everything. While with Ichigo, take away his Zanpakuto and hes basically a lamb to slaughter.

He can't use kido because he can't control his powers well enough to focus it into one point. The only reason he's able to use Getsuga Tenshou is because he has his sword to focus his reiatsu into. It's the same with his Fullbring.
