  • Gary Busey is that you?

  • @danwat1234

    i'm sure that's not him

  • Wow, that thing was made by human beings and not robots or aliens or demons, or just by spontaneous natural bad game generation. It's actually kind of surprising.

  • Oh god, this brought back some bad memories. I remember getting my dad to buy me this on a trip to the local games shop when I was a kid. That's right, I chose Pyst over however many actual proper games I could have had. I don't know why because I hadn't heard anything about it, or even played Myst. Suffice to say, I spent ages playing it convinced that I was missing something vital and the actual gameplay was hidden just around the corner. It never came. Fuck you, Parroty Interactive.

  • Also, I would like to mention that everyone involved in this game were murdered execution style one after the other soon after the release of this game. The killer was never apprehended, But experts believe the prime suspect to be John Goodman's agent.

  • *Shudder* Oh this game was soooo bad. Man Oh Man was it utter trash. I still have nightmares......

  • "WWWOOOOAAAAAAHHHHH, I'M PISSED!"

  • Pyst consists of eight drawings linked sequentially with postcard up arrows and a John Goodman video at the end. After that: zip, zilch, nada. Pyst was so bad it couldn't even qualify for PCWorld's Ten Worst Games of All Time because it was so technically inferior.

Hence, the worst game of all time, Atari's E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, tops it.

  • Myst music rocks! Would love to compose for a game like Myst asap! I'm already composing for an RPG!

  • I would like to see an LP of Pyst some day.

  • 3:28

MAH BOI, this king ios what all true warriors strive FOH

  • he said game makers take themselves too seriously; if they'd taken themselves seriously, this game might not have sucked

  • it still boggles the mind how they managed to get john goodman involved

  • @tomthenomad - Because he has a sense of humor.

  • the best part is actual footage of people actually laughing at the terrible jokes from this crap. i mean, you might have never thought that anyone in the world would ever find the infantile garbage that is this poor excuse for... well, is it a game, even? ugh, i am just psyched to see that everybody is different. it makes me feel better about myself to see people smart enough to program a game but too stupid to live anywhere but their parent's basement.

  • Terrible excuse for a game.

  • So...where's the ingame footage? It must have been really bad if they're not showing any.

  • tacky.

  • I think they put more effort into this video than into the actual 'game' Pyst. lol Both are amusing though...

  • I think it took more time to watch this video than walk through their 'game'.

  • Damn, that brought back some memories. For some reason I bought this as a kid when I hadn't even played Myst. I learned an important lesson that day: never buy a game just from reading the blurb on the box! It also amazes me to see the amount of effort and work that seems to have gone into a game with about 3 screens that lasts all of 10 minutes. Damn you, Parroty Interactive!

  • Never played this garbage version.

  • That was highly uninformative and strangely entertaining.

  • That was highly entertaining and strangely uninformative.

  • oh shit, i loved this game when i was little!

  • i played myst as a young lad, i didnt understand anything thus i didnt like the game and found it frustrating and hard to solve.

but when i saw pyst i laughed because i knew of the comic relief it was amplying from myst :-)
