Not only did they get water quickly, but that's a decent stream. I've heard that a good crew could get 2oo or so GPM out of a hand tub. Keeping that flow going required a HUGE crew though!
Excellent video of a 'handtub' in action. I remember attending a muster in Rhinebeck in 1977 where there were many of the old handtubs being shown off and competing, been a long time since I say that, and seeing this video brought the memories flooding back thanks!
