I don't hate sonic, but I have to admit that Sonic and The Black knight and Sonic and the Secret Rings were kind of horrible, at least in my opinion. What made me not like them was the fact that the game runs for you and doesn't really allow much of the fun in just looking and moving around freely.
I really liked Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors though.

I can't help but feel that you're a little biased against Sonic games as you keep criticizing the main gameplay style when that's what a Sonic is all about: speed! That's what makes it exciting, and increases the challenge. This is one of the 2 storybook series games. Hence the cutscene graphical style. Your credibility definitely went down when you mistook Blaze for Amy, as a lot of people have pointed out. I haven't played this game, but based on your reasoning I can say you underrated it

lol my friend is so godly at this game that i just sit and watch him and eat popcorn. it's just like a movie! i mean, the tricks he uses not many people know:
1. getting extremely fast times- just run normally and when you get extremely fast (dodge objects obviously), the camera will start losing sonic and you will skip parts of the stages. my friend ran on air once on a lava stage!
2. run through things (not everything)- use soul surge and you will go through objects (mines, blocks, etc.)
Sonic and the Black Knight is a pretty good title. There are sword issues in the boss fights and some missions are difficult but I love the game! I've gotten every item and sword and I'm working on getting every follower. To the folks who want speed, max out cavalier style and get around 10,000 followers I think. The speed blew my mind!
All in all I'd give SatBK an 8 out of 10 . Story could've been longer, more bosses woulda' been nice and easier sword battles too. Great game though.

I'm a super fan of sonic and i don't think recent games have benn such as good as the past games of sonic such like sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2. Sonic and the Black Knight is a pretty good title. There are sword issues in the boss fights and some missions are difficult but I love the game! I've gotten every item and sword and I'm working on getting every follower. To the folks who want speed, max out cavalier style and get around 10,000 followers I think. The speed blew my mind!
All in all I'd give SatBK an 8 out of 10 . Story could've been longer, more bosses woulda' been nice and easier sword battles too. Great game though.

i was hoping this game wouldnt have the same gameplay as sonic and the secret rings cuz that game was horrible and it looks like this game does, to be honest this game looked good at first but not anymore ill pass on it...they need a sonic adventure 3 or another sonic unleashed w/out the werehog, oh and they need to add manic or scourge in the sonic games!!!

Sonic and the Black Knight is horrible!!I did once think about what sonic would be like with a sword,but it still sucks.And to sonic team I say @#$%&#$@%&#%!!!!!!!

I'm a super fan of sonic and i don't think recent games have benn such as good as the past games of sonic such like sonic adventure and sonic adventure 2. I think that the only way to bring sonic back to life or to be as good as in the past they don't need to make his games that fast becuase sometimes is hard to avoid objects and things like that they should just make games using standard buttons and not aiming the wii mote and if they bring up a game like that is gonna be great

i like it im getting it but they should make a new sonic game with heaos of modes like sonics run fast levels in unleashed knuckels treser hunting tails should have like plane flying and blasting robots and shadow and silver should be playeble and team chaotix and amy im dragging it on but good luck with all that sega

Meh....when will Sega STOP experimenting with Sonic?! Poor Sonic - you're such the Science project gone terribly wrong. Now he uses a sword?! Well, hopefully they'll FINALLY make Sonic Rush 3. I've always wanted and been waiting for it. Maybe then they'll save you Sonic instead of fucking you over for a god damn percentage (Aliens reference). Oh well, I may as well go play the Mega and Gems Collections again....
