  • @09bnunez I didn't ignore your comment. YouTube never notified me of it.

I don't recall the consistency - it was many years ago - but the flavor was awful. As I recall, it was very strong, and like pancake syrup, but not as tasty.

  • HELP. My grandpa remembers a commercial from this time period, with an animated boy like this in it. In it hes riding a horse, and says "EAT IT HORSE!" Could someone send me a link? Any help is appreciated.

  • I SO remember that one

  • LOL :)

  • mony287...where can eye by it witch store?

  • @09bnunez

I'm not sure which specific stores carry it. I found it in my local grocery store (Mac's Market), but since Maypo originated in Vermont and that's where I live (well...did), I don't know if that's why I was able to find it. I found it in the same aisle as oatmeal and Cream of Wheat. You can also get it online. :)

  • CLASSIC COMMERCIAL..REMEMBER THIS ONE..BUT MOM NEVER BROUGHT MAYPO...NEVER TASTED IT MY LOST..OH WELL!!!!!

  • @09bnunez

They still make it; you could try it. :)

  • @09bnunez Trust me, you didn't miss anything. I finally cajoled my mother into buying it for me, and it was awful.

  • @YY4Me133 cause your mom cant cook!!!

  • @nahpoli My mother can't do anything. She died when I was seventeen. However, when she was alive, she was a good cook. In any event, one doesn't have to know how to cook to add hot water to a prepared mixture, which is what Maypo is.

  • I always LOVED this commercial~~~the little guy sounded just like my son when he was about three years old. *sigh*

  • It was never clear to me who the old guy was supposed to be. Just a funny old guy who lived in bovine-boy's house.

  • This was one of my favorite commercials when I was a little girl. Guess that dates me pretty bad, lol. But I still think it's adorable. :)

  • I was 4 when I found out that advertising lied. I wanted Maypo soooo bad so my mom got some, I hated it! She made me eat Maypo until it was gone. I've not eatten that awful cereal since!!

  • I love Marky, he's so cute!!!!!!

  • aww that little voice is so cute

  • The voice of Uncle Ralph is the great Broadway actor David Burns.
