  • Has it opened up on anyone without expecting it to? Anyone?

  • i just bought benchmade 940 becouse of 1 of these internet guys that say its the best edc and tactical knife in 1 sounds great. 170 $ im not impressed at all and the blade came dull. I have bought 30$ knivew that were way sharper. so I an done with benchmade!

  • Well, I am glad Bitchmade is getting what it deserves with guys posting the truth about the shit they sell now.

If you need something good stick with American Made Steel to begin with first, some 154 cm or S30v. Sandvich is Swedish and is very good as well.

  • benchmade have some good knives tho.

  • Is this why Microtech only makes OTF autos now?

  • They make the LUDT still but they have no locks on them any more.

  • Thanks for the links. I guess it would be pretty redundant to mention lawsuits on their site. I was just expecting wikipedia to mention some kind of controversy like they do with celebrities. But I guess BM has that covered too. Thanks, JB

  • There are about 20 other people who have been threatened with legal action, they send nasty letters to them with threats of lawsuits. Me I go no threats, I just got stuck with a lawsuit and then they expected me to pay their extortion. $15,000 for selling $200 worth of items they claim are infringe their patent. I didn't even argue I said I would pay damages like anyone else 5% is standard but Les De Ahole didn't want the $10.

  • I've visited both the BM website and their page on wikipedia and I have yet to read anything about all these lawsuits. All I could dig up was about their alleged "integrity" and "collaboration" with other knife makers. For a corrupt corporation, they shure know how to paint on a "friendly face".

  • That is stupid why would the pickle eater Les De Ahole put this on his website at Benchmade? Those clowns are not going to make it public on how many people they sue and extort for money, plus all the countless guys they have harassed and taken money from with threats of a lawsuit.

  • That in itself shows stupidity. Try searching a legal website and use some scruples

  • Search Mentor Group on a legal website. Go to dockets(dot)justia(dot)com

  • i bought my boker ak74 automatic off you with the safety lock and i love it its a awesome blade but once i forgot to put on the lock and the knife opened in my pocket and stabbed me in the leg lol

  • Now Boker has recessed the button and removed the lock completely from the design, all thanks to this bullshit. So now nothing even comes with a lock from the manufacturer.

  • Would I still be able to buy a Boker Kalashnikov switchblade knife kit from your website? Like the one in your video?

  • Yes, I still sell them.

  • I would have to install the safety lock myself, correct?

  • The new models do not even come with a safety lock. The button is recessed now and they have no safeties, the old stock does but not the new stuff. So it is a yes or no answer due to inventory issues now.

  • Thank you. I really hate benchmade.

  • I hope more and more people come to this conclusion.

  • Does the "lock device" refer only to the safety lock, or the actual Button?

  • Only for the safety lock, there will no longer be any safety locks on these models from the factory.

  • wait so Bench made claims that all locking automatic knives are their property?

  • They claim that the Top Lock System is their invention and that they hold the patent to it, making all BOKER, Smith & Wesson, Schrade, Uzi, and many more. Violations to this so called "866 Patent are ongoing with countless sellers and stores all across the US but most settle with Benchmade because it cost $200,000 to litigate such an issue so they use this to bully everyone in the knife business.

  • LOL These Benchmade Rep's are retards. Thats like saying well since John Harwood invented the self winding wirstwatch movement in 1923 no other watch company had better make a self winding wristwatch because they would be infringing in his patent. See the similarity of ridiculousness ? I really doubt that any judge with any common sense would even hear such a ludacris case. But " common sense" is the key word here.

  • Im all for benchmade, but their overreactions are fucking gay.

  • why are all there company's being such douche bag's?

  • those are sick knives
