  • i have the bell tv app, so i can watch live sports and tv shows on my iphone. If i buy this projector will it work for that?

  • @ftajunkie I don't know. I had the impression that the iPhone had to be jail-broken in order to display what is generally on the iPhone display on an external video projector. You might want to ask the maker of your application.

  • Sh-sh-sh... Here is a coupon code to get VGA Dock for free when you buy SHOWWX at the Microvision site (otherwise it's $50!): MVISREF1229. Valid until 9/30/2010

  • Someone just asked me if I could use my ShowWX laser projector to project an image onto my car windshield. The short answer is no. I know that Microvision has demonstrated prototype head-up displays with their laser projection technology, but the technology has not been commercialized yet.

  • Have you been able to adjust the pincushion effect through your graphics card settings?

  • @esagrero: There are no pincushion adjustments available in the graphics options of my OQO model 02+ computer. I've never seen a graphics card with such an option. Usually, pincushion adjustments are made on the monitor.

  • It looks pretty bright, awesome, what about the heat?

  • The silvery, "Limited Edition", label on my ShowWX projector gets very warm during operation, but not so warm that you can't hold the unit. That might be useful when projecting images outside during winter. I suspect that the regular ShowWX won't feel as warm on top, because the regular ShowWX doesn't have the silvery sticker on the top to trap the heat according to the photos that I've seen.

  • also, does this video make the showwx look brighter, darker, or the same as in real life?

  • The video is still being processed by YouTube, so the HD version is not available yet. YouTube seems to darken the videos that I upload.

I'm happy with the projector. It looks really good in the dark, but that's hard to convey in a video, because you lose the sense of scale when objects around the projected screen disappear or become much less visible.

  • so are you happy with it?
