All the CiViC/ Jazz/ Fit supercharger mods I see seem to rely on reving the engine beyond a sustainable limit in order to make big power. I've done that with just induction and port work, and to my mind it's a pretty high maintenance cost and time heavy strategy. Why aren't we seeing huge horses coming out of these supercharged Hondas in the sub 7000 RPM range, like we do with all of the turbos? What am I not understanding here?

It is an inline 4 cylinder engine, which is typically shortened to I4 or L4. there have been only a select few vehicles equipped with V4 engines, mostly fords and lancias, and even the lancia V4 is actually a borderline VR4.
