  • hey zippo a quick question does the amp gauge tell you how much current is getting back to the battery cause my amp meter reads 10 just running and 15 amps when the lights get turned on and the k301 charging system is 15 amp thanks so much for vids very helpfull

  • @bosch4life The amp meter does show amperage coming from the rotor and stator on the engine and when the demand is higher (with lights on) the regulator opens up "more" to allow the extra load to get its power from the engines charging system. That's normal for the gauge to go up like that. Cheers!!

  • I'm fixing up a 67 Simplicity landlord 2012, where can I get a chrome stack like yours?

  • @dmaul7 I make all my stacks. Some are stainless, some are hard chromed. The best advice I can give is to get Harley Sportster Screaming Eagle I or II then use standard pipe fittings to fit. Search my videos. There's one on adding a stack and another on bracing them to the engine. Best wishes to your restoration!!

  • hey Zippo, I have a allis B-212, think its a 1969 or 70. I'm rebuilding it all, was wondering if you would know how i could get the right manual for rebuilding the motor? I can not find any numbers on the briggs. any help would be great.

  • Hey sooooo, I live real close to biggyrat in flora....I was wondering if I could get his number I really want a simplicity or AC....any help would be appreciate thanx man love the videos keep them coming!!!!

  • Hi Zippo, I have a simplicity regent 4108 lawn tractor that I'm going to refurbish, do you think simplicity still has parts for this old gal? If not do you know who would have parts for this tractor? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks.

  • Zippo, you do good work with your antiques, especially adding needed accessories. I have a 70's(?)Simplicity Landlord mower for sale with tiller and 4 ft sickle bar mower. Details and pics are on craigslist post # 2639803562 if you are interested. Later, Rick.

  • hey zippo i have a allis chalmers 912 hydro i think its a 1980 plus so it might not be your cup of tea cause it looks like you take more interest in the older ones but on the back of yours you have the rear light now my chalmers has a hole for one and i put one there but i was wondering if my era chalmers if that's factor to have one there thanks for all the vids looks like you have great collection

  • @bosch4life Hiya Bosch. Absolutely......That hole is for a Guide Lamp that your local Simplicity dealer should still be able to get for the tractor. Any light will work and they sure come in handy when plowing or blowing snow in the dark!!

  • I'm going to be picking up a 1971 Homelite t-12 tomorrow. Hydro drive with electric pto. Also comes with snow plow. I can't wait to get started on restoring it. From what I understand a lot of the simplicity parts are interchangeable? Where would I go online to find parts if needed? Do you know anything about the homelites?

  • Great video, I love it. I recently got an Allis 416, I just took the tiller off, set the mower under and cant figure how the belt works, am I missing any parts? Any Advice? Thanks

  • Great video, I love it. I recently got an Allis 416, I just took the tiller off, set the mower under and cant figure how the belt works, am I missing any parts? Any Advice?

  • the older the tractor the better

  • @bigbam2wwf I couldn't agree more! My neighbors are always bringing their POS Box Store mowers in for repairs and they always ask me..........do yours ever break down? I just chuckle and tell them the machines I have were built to last, unlike todays disposable mowers and offer to find them one. So far, they just keep sinking money into their Crapsmans and Home Depot John Deere wanna bees. If you want a REAL Garden Tractor, you gotta look to the past. Thanks for the comment!!! Cheers!!

  • @ZippoVarga and same with me, i have a small mower shop and people go "how can you do the things you do with your tractor and it not brake down at all." and i just point out on my cub cadet, "ok look at my frame, cast iron." "look at yours, sheet metal. look at my tranny, cast iron, yours is practicly plastic" thanks :)

  • @ZippoVarga I hope to get a Simplicity 707 Wonderboy, and restore it. BTW im 14

  • @ZippoVarga

Cool. Im 14 and im hooing to get a rusty old Simplicity 707 Wonderboy. I hope to make it look like new.

  • @lilbrozander101 Be sure to post plenty of vids!! You can learn a lot from these old machines. Enjoy bro!

  • Where are you getting all those chrome stacks from?? Any info would be great...

  • @burgerboy1010 Harley take offs and customs that I've made. Go to your local muffler shop and look at their long chrome exhaust tips. That should give you some ideas.

  • do you know were i could get one of thos hydro. lifts. i have a tractor just like ugle allis?

  • @cubshop The best places to locate a hydro lift is in the classifieds of simpletractors dot kom and ebay. Good luck! And be willing to shell out about $250.00 on average for a complete set up.

  • @ZippoVarga yes i do

  • i got a 68 broadmoor 717,,,,,,what size tires do u think i can put on this lil thing to make it a bit bigger and meaner,,,,,,????

  • @voicebocks The biggest size you can put on the back would be a 20x10x8 in a Carlisle Super Lug or Carlisle Turf Saver. These have a flat profile and as such, they won't rub the bottom of the fender pan. As for the front tires, If you check my other videos you'll find my 728 and it has an off branded set of tri bars in the stock size as the originals. If you want to go larger on the front also, you may want to think about finding a set of wider front rims with full backspacing. Good Luck!!

  • where are you getting the AG tires at? I need some to fit on a 725 with stock rims.

  • @LetsDetect Your stock rims call for a 6-12 tire and Carlisle makes these. You can get them from any number of on line stores or reputable ebay sellers like KMorrow or millertire. Just go to ebay and search for 6 12 Ag tire. Make sure this is the size you get. There is a similar 6.00-12 tire that is actually taller than the OEM and might rub on the inner fender. The Carlisle 6-12 Tru Power will run you 124 a pair from k-morrow on ebay plus around 25 bucks to ship.

  • Where can I find more info on adding hydro to my 725?

  • @LetsDetect Adding a hydro??? Lift? Drive? Steering? It's all possible, so which do you want? There isn't a set place for info, but there are a great number of resources to help you along the way. Google Simplicity garden tractor and you'll find quite a few resources for information.

  • Glad to see someone else with the same addiction I have. I have 26 at this time. Restoring a Yoeman with my oldest granddaughter, then the serf for the next one.Nice collection love your 64. I have an all original '64 725

  • Thanks for the comment, and yep...There's quite a few of us that are hooked on these old Simplicity and Allis Chalmers Garden and Lawn Tractors. Just an FYI, the last year of manufacture for the 725 was 1963. The old Landlord in my video and the early B-10s were introduced in late 1963 for the 1964 model year. I have thinned my herd to just those I need to take care of my property plus two that are toys. (The 728 and 1964 Landlord) I'd love to see your herd!!

  • nice allis i am in the middle of restoring a allis b-210 it in good shape i had a 68 wheelhorse charger 8 the motor went out and had to get rid of it. but all of your tractors are nice

  • im guessing from your accent, your in the south. im in michigan, (they say we have a mich accent) and love old things. these are even better because you can use them. im glag to see someone keeping these old work horses alive. i have a couple myself, but not as nice as yours. they are addictive arent they. wives will just never understand. good day sir

  • I'm in Indiana, so South of you of course. And yes, I have a bit of an accent from living here for the past 3 decades. Good day to you also colby.

  • nice, i wanna ride em

  • Heya Colby! What pare of the states are you in? If you're close enough you're more than welcome to come ride them all if you like.

  • To any one who receives a message on their video from any one suggesting you go to any other web sight for free tractor manuals...this is SPAM. • how did u put that cigarrette lighter on there?

  • With duct tape and bailing wire...lol Just kidding..The bracket is also the ground then I ran an 8 gauge wire to the + post of the battery with a 30 amp breaker. You can also just use an in line fuse holder, but make sure to use one or the other. I mounted the bracket with a couple self tapping sheet metal screws.........that's it! If the tractor you're putting it on will be left out side, then make sure it's covered or capped with a rubber cap. Available at Wal Mart, tractor supply, parts store

  • ugly allis is beautiful

  • She has character! A couple of my neighbors love her because she has helped them with tasks on their property. They say........Beauty is in the eye of the Beer Holder!!!! lol Thanks for the comment!!

  • Do you think a power washer pump could be fit to the front PTO of one of these tractors? I'd love to have it to along for the ride to hydro-jet drain pipe and clean out culverts!

  • Anything is possible with these machines. That would be a real handy thing to have!! Great idea!

  • i should sell my simplicity and its workin alright just it has a cold start but after you strock throtlle about 2 times it works like a cow boy on a girl

  • i should sell my simplicity and its workin alright just it has a cold start but after you strock throtlle about 2 times it works like a cow boy on a girl

  • The great thing about having a tractor like "Ugly Allis" is that if someone decides they want to steal it, it's going to be pretty easy to track! My new B-12 came with a distinctive paint job. I need to put a vertical stack on it like yours - I like my tractor, but my wife doesn't like me smelling like it when I come inside!

  • All it takes is a shower and you are back in your Wifes good graces!

  • i just bought a trackor like this and i have 4 or 5 attachments cant wait to start working on mine. good video

  • be careful!!!! They're addictive! Enjoy!

  • Super machines. Did you custom fabricate your grader blade? I'd like to do the same thing with the B-12 I picked up yesterday.

  • Factory item, but a sears rear grader can be adapted to work also. Thanks!

  • hey bud what do you think of the brodmore 728,and landlord with rear tiller. i have a chance for bolth the 728 is $100. but needs a eng wich is not a problem brcause i have spares. the land lord needs points and the price is not knon yet. are they good tractors?

  • Absolutely! I'm a large frame lover, but I love my 728 too. I'll have a tiller for it this Spring and already have over 10 implements for my large frame. If the Landlord just needs points, they are still available. Let me know what the guy wants for the Landlord and pics if possible. Message me for my e-mail. Later!

  • I hear Blinded by the Light!

  • I noticed the shine off the stack and lights...that's a good song for it!! Thanks for the comment!!

  • Thanks and Absolutely!

  • all i can say is....beautiful!!!!

  • That tractor is a compilation of 2 dozen different tractors. That's why she's named Ugly-Alice...lol

  • I have a 707 simplicity . were did you get the tires on u a

  • Not sure which tires you're refering to, but I get my tires from a variety of different suppliers. Check out ebay. There are a number of great suppliers on there. Also check your local Tractor Supply. Good Luck!

  • Love those Simple Tractors

    5*

  • Thanks Dan!!

  • Nice collection never seen that much in one shed.. keep them running!!

  • Hey, Thanks John! I've wittled them down a bit. 5 keepers right now with a couple beside the shop.

  • where can i get some front tires like the ones you have on ugly allis?

  • ebay...search 16x6.5x18.

  • i love your old simplicity/allis chalmers tractors. there just isnt any of them around here.

  • Where's Here Bebo? I know there's a few dry areas, then there's the mid-West and North East. But even the fellers way up in Alaska can find em. I spent all day yesterday servicing the fleet and getting them all ready for Winter. I'll get a video of them all in their winter garb just as soon as I catch up on requested videos.

  • lol, here is in western north carolina (hickory area). and there is 2 local guys with simplicity tractors, a 725 and a 727. neither wanna sell, i dont blame them. everyone here likes cub cadets. i like sears and simplicity =)

  • You have a lot of nice tractors there man, I wish that I had a collection half that good. I subscribed.

  • Hey Chris! Thanks for posting. I'm always finding deals on these older Simps and A/Cs and they're hard to pass up. Thanks for the sub!!

  • u would of went nuts at this auction i went to sat a bunch of these b10's and b110's sold for no higher than 90 a piece i bought a simplicitiy for 20 and a sears st16 for 30

  • Hey Jeremy! I've been to auctions like that. I make it a habit to keep my checkbook locked up when I go though! lol Sounds like you cleaned house!

  • hey mr. zippovarga great collection! i have me self a B-212, i only wish i could find a b-10 or a b1. thanks for showing us your tractors, i love those chrome stacks you have on 'em.

  • Thanks for the thumbs up RT! Keep looking....you'll find them eventually.

  • gatta love simplicitys built like a brick house

mine is a 68 2210 landlord 2 tired old gal but she pulls like a truck, have a tailer and a snowblower

    gatta luv it

  • Thanks Skidoo! I love them. They may take longer to get things done than a full size tractor, but you can store many of these eachi with a different implement and pull the one you need from the fleet!

  • Can you tell me how you hooked up that oil pressure gauge

    Thanks(:

  • ? These engines don't have a means to check oil pressure. I'm not sure what you saw to give you that idea from my video. Perhaps you can tell me the minutes and seconds where you are refering to and I can check the video my self. Thanks!

  • 1;32 or is it an Ampere gauge

    Sorry(:

  • Yep, that's the Amp gauge.

  • Quick question. How'd you set up that rear flashing light. I was wanting to do something like that with some orange ones that flashing alternately.

I like the looks of 'ugly allis'. Some tractors just look great unrestored!

  • All my Simplicity and Allis-Chalmers large frame tractors are drive shaft driven to a bevel gear box which transfers the power to an opposed shaft. One side of the shaft powers the transaxle through a belt and the other side is used to power your implements, also with a belt. There are three Power Take Off points on these tractors. Front, mid and rear. Some of the implements are direct drive and others are belt driven. I've tried to stop these tractors and there is no stopping them. Thanks!!

  • how are the B-10 driven is it a driveshaft from the engine to the trans then drives the wheels or is there a strap inbetween?

  • hey do u know where i can find a 16hp horizontal briggs

  • ebay, craigslist, mytractorforum classifieds.....those are the places that came to mind.

  • If ur willing to sell one or know where i can find simolicity and allis tractors of those years that would be cool

  • I'm down to the number I want to have right now, but they pop up on eBay pretty regular. Also keep an eye open on craigslist in your area.

  • very nice colection ,,ugly allis aint so ugly

kinda sexy lol i love those old garden tractors

  • hey

    what year is ugly allis?

  • It's a 1964 B-10 that has parts from 1964- 1968 Allis and Simplicity tractors.

    Thanks!

  • im gettin one like that tomorrow but i think its a little older

  • another question lol

    does it still have points?

  • Yep....all my tractors and engines have points. I like old school ignition systems, but i have a couple electronic points eliminators on the shelf in case i'm sort on points. But they are strictly temporary use items.

  • I have a B1 Allis that I have been restoring. I would love to put headlights on it like yours. She still has the model 19 in it, Any Idea where a fella might find another 19 or a 23D? I just put new 6x12 tractor lugs on her. I need new decals.

  • Hey slowpoke! Looks like I'm the slow one here....lol. A 23D won't fit under the hood of the old 700-725s and B-1s. What WILL fit is a Gold series model 292100 8 HP. They're fairly easy to come by and still cast iron. A little paint and switch over to the oil bath air cleaner and it makes it hard to tell it's a replacement. As for the lights......The B-1 would have a single cyclopse light on the hood. Check my Garden Mark Squire video to see the light.

  • i could never start myne up that good id spend some good 15 minutes holding the carb wide open cranking it. unfourtunately i hade to strip it cause some kind of spacer on the driveshaft fragmented and was scraping the body. grandfather didnt want to fix it. never thought id see one of these again...

  • Hey dude, Didn't see this video yet. Cool stuff dude

  • Thanks Mark! Ugly Alice is really earning her keep around here. I'm finding more parts and pieces to add to her. Trying to get parts from two dozen tractors put on her.

  • can you tell me what mufflers you use or a link where i can buy one thanks ed

  • Hi Ed...if you have a Tractor Supply or a Rural King in your area, they have the mufflers there. I have used two different ones. An AC1 and a FO1. The AC is an Allis Chalmers and the FO is a ford. The FO is quieter than the AC, but you must install it upside down due to the inlet and outles sizes.

  • can you send me a link on what mufflers to use and where you get them.

    thanks ed

  • sweet i have a cuple allis/ simplicity tractors.

  • All of my stacks are made from galvenized pipe and pipe fittings then the mufflers are clamped on with muffler clamps.

  • how did you attach the new muffler, did you make it yourself?

  • he most likely bent a peice or got a already bent one that was 1/8 bigger or smaller that would fit the stack..love the video and your ugly allis

  • hay nice video i like those tires that r on the back of ugly allice do u hav a 23 inch tires like that u would sell to me

  • Thanks cojo! Gotta love these old machines.

  • she starts right up! Nice one zipp.. oh and this is cojo92 from simpletractors =]

  • Way to go Bro! Looks realy Good
