  • Thanks tor posting this on here. I am going to use your design somewhat, since i gave away all my hydraulic parts to guys building log splitters i am going to use Wheel chair motors for the drive and electric linear motors to steer. The gas motor will power the deck and car alternator. I am thinking about 10" or so pipe made into wheels drilled for 3/8" pins for spikes. Thanks again. Undie.

  • drive motors are hydraulic and the steering is by means of a hydraulic cylinder.

  • Do you drive this mower with wheel chair motors or from the gas engine? I am planing to build one this winter. also is the steering from a power steering pump hooked up to a cylinder?

    thanks undie

  • Do you share the plans? I would also like to know what the final cost is? Thanks if you answer - great idea and execution looks to be super good.

  • @riceski sorry no plans just have it all in my head. cant quite remember how much I spent on it...thinking something around $500.for the steel and the bearings and belts. I had the motor kicking around and the drive wheels.the rest was fabricated.

today she is still cutting just as good as day one. and there has been many beers drank in the hamock while cutting.

  • @allwaysbest Does your deck have a height adjustment? I found a set of front wheels and spindles off a Suzuki 2wd 4wheeler that i am going to convert to chain drive and run off my chair motors. Now to figure out my steering, maybe a small power steering pump and cylinder. lots of redneckology.

  • @undie3423 yes height adjustment... show me some pics as you are building

  • @allwaysbest I am still rounding up parts and figuring what i am going to do but i will document everything as i go along. The building part wont be hard,I can see how you adjusted the front wheels but i havent figured out the back of the deck height. The last project i did was an articulated 4wd side by side 4wheeler. but i never even took pictures of it being built. Thanks undie

  • This is one of the best homemade R/C mowers I have seen. Congrats!

  • nice job ,my neighbor also built one , this winter hes putting gps on it, so it will have auto pilot, atleast thats what he says

  • @bubbabouyi yeah watch. GPS glitches and now you have a berserk lawnmower on the loose.

  • @bubbabouyi GPS isn't that accurate... if you jsut use satalites anyway.... I guess if you had a known fixed point on the ground it would work better...

  • hahah holy shit dude......Fantastic idea.

  • Great design love it!

  • dude, that thing is sweet. all you have to do is sit in a lwan chair and let the cash flow in to u! sweet!
