  • "chicks dig the banjo" hahaha

  • hot damn son!

  • Sounds like Lester and Earl are in the house!!! GREAT JOB!! You guys should be on th Grand Ole Opry!!

  • I just love Paul Schaffer's comment about "This is not like the Jonas Brothers" and Paul responds with "Well no... it's not." I take that as a nod from Schaffer that "No... this is true, unadulterated talent!" Kudos Guys... y'all really are amazing talents, each and every one of you! Thanks!!

  • just look at them little fingers go!

  • Dang, dudes! You are gooooood. And cute, too.

That little one; the banjo is almost as big as he is.

    Love it. : )

  • I listen to this over and over unbelievable :-)

  • I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS

  • anybody want to buy a guitar?

    t

  • i never knew that banjo can be this awesome :DD

  • He's not tuning by ear. He's using Keith tuners, invented by Earl Scruggs and improved by Bill Keith. Thy make it possible to preset two notes per string and to move from one note to the other without making a mistake.

  • who would even dislike this? these kids just blew my freaking mind! each one is so talented...

  • Awesome job!!

  • Amazing talent!!!!!! If you want to see some very young ROCK talent, please visit our youtube channel - 10 year old lead rock singer Sara and Motion Device!!!

  • I can't believe how good you are, fantastic !

  • the best I've heard, unbelievable !

  • They need a little sister to play the mandolin! And while the retuning looks impressive, he's almost certainly using Scruggs tuner machines, which have preset positions that allow quick retuning in the middle of a song. Man, that kid can play. I love his deadpan expression, too.

  • Not to burst anyones bubble but the banjo has tuners that you can set that will only allow you to detune so far. On that note, the kid is still super amazing and one could only hope they make it big and keep playing. Just AMAZING!!!

  • I dig the banjo!!!!!

  • ....What. o_o

  • a thousand times THUMBS UP if i could - i feel better about the future of music with these kids in the business

  • OMGoodness he tuned his banjo right in the middle of a song!!!!Great job boys!!!!Keep playing you are great!!!!

  • omg that is truly amazing!!!! love from England!!!

  • Homeschooling FTW.

  • man that takes some serious balls tuning the guitar down in the middle of the song.. and then tuning it back up... and back down...and back up again.... it takes me the best part of a minute to get my guitar tuned up lol

  • @savagecabage thats the sole reason why I love this kid, playing an instrument is one thing, but having the prowess of his ear is astonishing

  • That round "guitar" is called a banjo. They have special tuning pegs on those two strings just for playing songs like these which makes it easy to accurately tune down and then back up a full note. It doesn't require extreme skill for that part but as for playing the rest of the song that fast and clear...forget about it.

  • Good for them.

  • wow, good

  • Back in school ? I hope your home schooled and not victims of goverment schools

  • When the banjo kid learns to do some licks and taps on the base... they will be best sellers :P

  • Very nice.

  • What does it say about these kids and their abilities that, while I generally dislike all country music, and banjo music in particular, I would rather listen to a non-stop, 24-hour-a-day soundtrack of that one song than ever hearing Rebecca Black, The Jonas Brothers, or Nickleback ever, ever, ever, ever, ever again?

  • Chicks dig the banjo! Love it. Way to pick it. Well done.

  • I'm going to Itunes and get this album. Great job guys!!

  • wtach out talor swift and nashville you got competition

  • Flint Hill Special!!!!! This is outstanding !!!! Talented youngsters!!!!!

  • Whoa! Very cool trick with the tuning pegs! Lovin' it!

  • I agree, fantastic musicianship... imagine time spent on computer games spent on practicing an instrument? theres the result, and good for that...

Regarding Letterman, he is rude an awkward to all the musicians on his show, he doesnt understand the art of it, an his uncomfortablenes with them makes him say silly things

  • @slindholt He really is, Letterman can be such a tool sometimes, bad manners.

  • @slindholt Why yes... he is an American talk show host... how perceptive of you to notice...

  • iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaahoooo-hoo-hoo...!!!

  • Aliens

  • i am going to do everything i can to make these kids obscenely rich.

  • that was sick

  • Super Picking!

  • its nice to see these kids appreciating good pure music instead of getting caught up in today's shitty music like hip hop and rap.

  • DL is rude to these lads! Good to see so much talent in these youngsters. All credit to their dedication and support from their folks. Well done boys and keep it coming

  • Amazing!!

  • Im just go on a limb and guess their dad is a badass guitar player...

  • @1990redchevy Yeah probably. I'd be extremely surprised if he wasn't a musician of some sort.

  • Me like!

  • kids that small are not supposed to be that skilled, or to be able to be that skilled. what the hell is going on here? how is what i just watched possible?

  • @NameNotAlreadyTaken2

They've probably been playing since a very young age, and probably have practiced nearly every day since they started

    or they are part Asian

  • Oh talent! Amen!

  • Paul knows gold when he sees it !

  • Is it just me or does David Letterman seem really awkward and rude to the young musicians?

  • @Jimbobulimbo9 It's just you.

  • This is amazing!!

  • well, im curius to see their own actuall songs, this was obviously made just to prove what they go for.

  • Such talented boys and so clean cut.....I know their parents must be very proud.

  • The kid looks bored while blasting through lightning fast solos. TALENT.

  • watch these guys a year from now

  • all u boys need now is a singer, maybe u boys could sing, as long as it is passable your playing will be the main attraction, many great guitar players sang, but they were not the best singers in the world, but no one cared as what they were doing on guitar was enough

  • AWESOME! They are all super talented. Wait about 5 years when they have a whole band. They will win all kinds of awards.

  • I dont get what he meant at the beginning about being in Sri Lanka making t-shirts. someone explain please?

  • i love the detuning and re tuning of the banjo.... these guys are class!!!!

  • @Johnakalazyj I think that will be their signature, when ever u hear a banjo being detunes and tunes in parts of a song U will know it's the sleepy banjo boys, and the best thing is it sounds freaking amazing, these boys are going on to big things, well they already are getting big, these will be like them hansen brother but bnigger

what do they eat in this family....?

  • I love that when the crowd applauds, he just gets a little grin, and keeps playing like it's no big deal to him.

  • Bravo!

  • Just awesome!

  • Did anyone else notice him TUNING the banjo while playing? Is that normal?

  • @kamekeisen he is not tuning - he is doing bending-efffects and just set up the right tune within seconds, when he finnishes effecting

  • @kamekeisen he wasn't tuning it, it is part of the song, watch him play the song in some other videos.
