oh and yeah, adam jones was inspired by the Quay's. The Prison Sex song video was almost directly inspired through them (the first short films). it's extremely obvious. With all those wall cupboards passages and that cracked doll w the twitching eye. I'm also a huge tool fan. although adam jones does his own randition and style. Quay Brothers came way before though.

What annoys me about Tool though is that they never mention the Quays. Even in their Wiki page, they have this bit about the videos and no name is dropped once.

This is the first Quay film I saw some years ago when MTV was somewhat new and motivated me to make my own films. Animation is a great medium for self-expression.

Yes. A stop animation film called Street Of Crocodiles is probably their best know work. It's about 20 minutes long and is absolutely awesome. NIN were inspited by this movie for their music video of the song CLoser.
