You can spray your self with OFF with DEET in it. Fleas do not like it. I have been dealing with flea problem and I spray myself and the kids while I am killing the life cycle of the fleas, and we have no been bitten since
@MightyJustas A few years ago I noticed fleas biting my young sons on their back. I put lotion (cheap $1 store) and then the fleas bit on their necks. I kept putting lotion on every few hours, ALL OVER their bodies (nice conditioned skin!) and the fleas stopped attacking them (they were biting me too! OUCH!). I have fleas again, now with a dog and 2 cats that go outside. I'm keeping the cats IN, and going to try the shallow pan on floor w/ dish soap mixture to kill them. I'm bathing them, too.
@crimsonshadows1 no i have the same problem. my dad just found out our dog has fleas and i have been getting bites on my ankles for the past two weeks. nobody else has a single bite. i thought it was bed bugs but after washing everything and vacuuming and wiping down my water bed, i still get bites. i cant tell when i get bitten i just usually notice them the day after i get bitten.
It looks like a nice trap and I like the fact that it will run on batteries. However, the grate looks large enough to allow dog hair, and when dog hair sticks to the pad it uses up the pad and also when fleas jump in and land on the hair they can jump out. This shouldn't be a problem in one dog households but with multiple dogs there is a LOT of hair flying around...

you're prolly the only one that can feel it. many people can't feel flea bites on much of their bodies.

Dude! where can i get one? i am the only one in the house who gets bitten by fleas! everyone else thinks i'm on crack and there are no fleas!
Please help me prove there are fleas in this stinking house before i burn it!

@366SAW Get a white rat and then the fleas will jump on the rat and everyone will see them. Then you will have to get a cat to get rid of the rat.
