It is possible to term it as Zapin Modern though a more appropriate term would be Traditional Modern. It is for that reason that in Malaysia for instance, it may not pass off as traditional.
This view however is quite different in Singapore. There is however a contemporary approach towards this dance as can be observed towards 3.45.
