  • I just counted up most of my silver dollars and between morgan and peace I have over 215 of them including 2 CC's. :)

  • I have a 1878 goloid metric dollar

  • Hey man great coins, I just got a 1891 morgan like a ms61 its nice... Do u know hpw much.the peace dollars are $?

  • junk

  • George Washington was our first president? No shit, Sherlock.

  • Hey wanna trade coins

  • The only clad silver (40%) Eisenhower's were "S" mint. Blue Ikes (uncirculated) and Brown Ikes (proof). If your Ike is not an "S" mint mark, it's not silver.

  • The V has to do with WW1

  • @mobylover123456789 coins also had "v" 's before ww1!

  • Dude, V and U were both originally just two different styles of the letter U. In the Latin language they had no "v" sound, so the v's and u's represented an "oo" sound sometimes and a "w" sound other times. Since this alphabet came to English from Latin, traditionally they were used interchangeably in English. Actually, monuments and inscriptions in stone still use V and U that way sometimes when we build them now.

  • i bought an eisenhower dollar at a flea market and it was gold-colored maybe it was painted im not sure thohg

  • They couldn't fit trust on the coin with a usual "u".

  • i have an einshover dollar 1971

  • That 1889 Morgan is cleaned... so worth a lot less than usual.

  • anyone know the estimate value of a 1896 morgan dollar

  • how would a 1923 peace dollar have to do with coming out of the great depression. that doesnt make sense. and its not a v, but looks like it. if you go watch the spare change episode about peace dollars on youtube you'll see why its like that. also i would never buy anything from ebay. thats just me and that morgan dollar is def not a poor grade. its probably a vg grade. far from poor condition

  • i have 2 eisenhower dollars. 1 1977 and 1 bison tenial 1976

  • just the design on the peace dollars trust

  • @bmdmaloclm

    the v stands for victory

  • what is the oldest coin in your collection?? just wondering.. 1800s i know

  • what dose it mean when it says reverse

  • what is the program that you sing up for?

  • More videos from Morgan Dollara!

  • Remember to respect the coins that you got from your mother.

  • How much is a Kennedy Half Dollar in mint condition?

  • what do you want for the sacagawea dollars?

  • cuz the v looks prettier ^.^

  • The word "TRVST" is NOT a misspelling. In the 1920s it was fashionable to use the old Roman alphabet on coins and other objects. In Roman writing, the letter we call "U" was written as "V". There have been several other extensive discussions about this usage in other threads. Regardless of any myths surrounding it, the spelling is purely stylistic and is NOT an error.

  • do you have a martin van buren or john tyler presidential dollar coins? just wondering, if your video here is updated.

  • I like monster trucks.

  • When you displayed your 1923 Peace Dollar, you said that "peace" may have something to do with WWI as well as the depression. Only the former is true, since the collapse of the stock market followed by the Depression was in 1929. Other than that, I enjoyed the clarity of the video. Nice job with your good camera. Saw lots of detail. Thanks.

  • I believe the "V" is interchanged with "U" in latin. Also the Peace dollar was released after WWI with the eagle facing east to keep vigilance while holding arrows and an olive branch in it's talons

  • how morgans and peace do you have now? i have 24 morgans and 6 peace: 1878 7TF, 1878-S 7TF, 1879, 1880-O, 1881, 1881-O, 1882 O/S variety, 1884, 1885, 1885-O, 1887, 1887-O, 1889, 1889-O, 1890-O, 1892-O, 1896, 1897-S, 1902-O, three 1921, 1921-D, and 1921-S; for the peace: three 1922, 1923-S, 1925, 1934-D

  • I am not sure at this moment. I know I have 2 peace and probably about 10-12 morgan

  • Where did you Sign up for the program?

  • The Standing Liberty Quarter Also Has The V. On The Obverse It Says IN GOD WE TRVST And On The Reverse It Says E PLVRIBVS VNVM

  • where do you get hard plastic coin cases?

  • I actually don't have any but you can get them from coin shops or even off ebay

  • Hobby Lobby, Books A Million Or A Local Book Store

  • What is it about coins that turn you on or drives you? I love to find out about peoples passions!

  • More about Morgans :)

  • i like how the peace dollar is cold and it sometimes smells good. LOL

  • Awesome Video

  • The V is on the Peace Coin due to the Latin, V is same as U.

  • Those Ikes are not silver. 40% silver were only offered by the SF mint with and S on them and it sets from 1971-74 and 1976.

  • I found some cool coins for auction at propertyroom.

  • HA! my only peace coin was minted the same year as yours. lol

  • Touching your coins with bare hands...That is not smart

The SBA Dollars, and SAC Dollars...They are just worth face value, except for one exception, the proof versions, and the 2000 P Cheerios dollar

But back to the touching your coins with bare hands, if you are going to do it, make sure it is just the rims

  • For some reason, I agree with you 100% We seem to know something about coins I guess....lol

  • @morgandollarman That is true only for coins with very high grading or UC coins. Any that have a lower grade will not be hurt by touching with your hands. The main reason for not touching with your hands on good coins is because it can leave your fingerprints on the coin.

  • yeaph!

  • I think the v is the ancient Roman way of spelling u.

  • I much perfer the american dollar bill,

  • I don't really like the sacegewaya, i spelt it wrong, either, I don't think I really like the detail or the look of the whole coin.

  • the "v" thning was just a style i guess

    it was on purpose

  • i have 8 morgans i have a 1883 s ms 65

  • Thats cool, and thanks for subscribing

  • you have a good collection

  • Thanks, It might be awhile till I get some more coins

  • are those eisenhowers still in circulation?

  • nope

  • I only have three eisenhowers and you cant really tell if they are in bad or good condition because there is not very much detail to begin with on the hair or anything.

  • Yes they are. I spend some that I have from time to time.

  • the great depretion started in 1929

    the peace dollar in 1921...

The peace dollar comemerated end of ww1

  • Great looking collection...esp love your Morgans...they're among my favorite coins, and imo, probably the most beautiful of U.S. coins

  • The font used is an example of the then-popular Art Deco style. This is exemplified by the inscription, "IN GOD WE TRVST," which uses the Latin angular "U". I hope this helps.

  • Thanks for the info, It always puzzled me. But not any more.

  • so your saying thers going to be 43 pesidental dollars and the V is a error coin so be perpard for a raise in cash cause people is going to want that

  • what?, The V I think you are talking about is on the peace dollar, and its not an error its just made like that. And yes they are eventually going to make a presidential dollar coin for all the presidents.

  • the one that said in god we TVUST

  • yes thats on the peace dollar.

  • i have the very first one you hold

  • thats cool check it out and see if you can see any of the lettering on the edge of the coin if you dont see any letters than you got a rare coin and hold on to it because it is worth a lot of money.

  • hey when u mean no letters on the egde is urs the one w/ no letters on the egde? BTW do u mean edge by the bumpy part of the coin?

  • the edge of the coin meaning not the face of the back, the edge on the presidential dollar coin should be smooth except for letters if it is smooth without letters than it is an error coin and it is rare.

  • oh i see it but i have letters lol

  • put the 99 susan in your book

  • I need to get a more recent book. The one I have doesn't go up that far.

  • oh ok

  • i like your videos they're one of the only good videos about coins on youtube....I see so many vids that are crap lol it's good to have a series of videos you can rely on. Keep me updated :)

  • Thanks and I will, also JRHulbret has good coin videos.

  • yeah, I checked out his vids (and basically every single one on youtube haha). They're pretty good, but I haven't seen one in a while, I'll be the first one to know if he puts one up. Oh yeh and I meant to tell you that I'll probably get a new camera around christmas (I have NO money lol so I'll wait till then) and I'll post up some new vids. I got a peace dollar and a Silver eagle from 2008. Oh and a 40% kennedy half. That's about it though for recent purchases.

  • Thats cool. I saw your video about the coins in your room. When you get the new camera redo those Because they look interesting.

  • the president coins can you get them at any bank or do you have to do the president program.

  • just go to your local bank and ask if they have any presidential dollars. most do.

  • Hey, nice video. I was wondering the same question about the V on the Peace dollar, so I asked my dad. He said that it was old fashioned, and he's seen it like that in other places. Hope that helps - yomomma21212

  • thanks

  • The new cam makes alot of difference. Are those Presidetial dollars air sealed? I could get back into silver dollars, but I've been buying up bullion lately.

    Keep up the good work.

  • thanks and yes they are, with silver coins you get the best of both worlds, coins witch can grow in value and silver witch will grow in value. I love 90% halfs they can be very lucrative.

  • how much the president coins progam cost

  • Im not sure my mom got if for me as an early graduation present. Look up the Franklin mint on line that is were she got it from.

  • thanks
