  • Sounds like to me he's bipolar bigtime get him some meds.

  • This guy is an idiot. He's lucky he got a patient cop.

  • why is he driving if he cant read.....

  • @kcrockett8969 Further more how did he pass the test to drive in the first place?

  • @tempo1889 He said that he couldn't read because he didn't have his 7 dollar glasses with him.... He obviously still shouldn't be driving but it explains more

  • is this interstat 95?

  • @drummer011497 no its not

  • Did the driver say he cant read?? I guess he didnt make it to get meds for his dog.... I wonder if he acts like this with his wife....

  • Did the driver say he cant read?? I guess he didnt make it to get meds for his dog....

  • Who said traffic tickets were cheap. When you get pulled over, you do what the cop tells you to do no matter what.

  • what a troll

  • MELTDOWN!!!!

  • "there's some more right there" great video, this is when those dash cams make them selves worth their weight in gold.

  • "137 dollars and fifty c..."

"YOU'RE FUCKING CRAZY! AAH AAAH AAAAH! I CAN'T! AAAH AAAH!"

    What a mad bastard.

  • this is the best cop i have ever seen!! I'm not a cop, but i don't know what i would of done with this guy. what an asshole!

  • I would have had the same reaction if I asked a cop how much my ticket was for and he gave me that number.

  • Did you know this trooper paid this guy to do this video (this is a fake video) this Trooper was very unprofessional in his work, he was actually FIRED because of his actions, the media makes him a good cop, when really he wasn't. As a person involved Law Enforcement I am ashamed of this Trooper.

  • lol. this id one of the funniest vids iv seen. i like the way that guy talks like porky pig or something

  • Still makes me laugh every time I view it. And if that wasn't enough, the poor sod actually believed the likes of Clinton would be worried about his sort - hey ho - one born every minute I guess.

  • Kudos to the cop in this video! This clip starts out with what appears to be the ticketing officer talking about the stop. It's obviously a training video and it shows more of the "story behind the story" of this clip then other posts of this clip on youtube.

  • I wish more cops were like him instead of the power abusing assholes that "protect" our country.

  • This trooper is a very nice officer. He is professional and friendly. He could have arrested that man for using obscenity. This the kind of trooper United States needs to have all over the country. Very gentle, and very calm. One who is patient with the evil people of the world. I say "Thank you very much for you service, Mr. Trooper. Keep up the good work". Fare well.

  • Thats the way people should be towards cops. Cops are mother fuckin ass holes. And dont call me sir you fuckin pig.

  • @16kats If you were smart "sir" is the correct and respectful way to acknowledge someone.

  • @16kats Would you rather we all call you ma'am?

  • If I was that trooper that driver would have been arrested. The trooper was being courteous and just doing his job.

  • I love how the officer starts talking sarcastically when he is explaining the ticket. "The Green copy is for your records sir."(Sarcastically) "The white copy needs to be mailed in 20 days.) (Sarcastically).

Ive watched this probably 100 times or more and it never gets old.

  • To all you fellow Maine girls who think this cop is buff.............keep in mind this was 20 years ago. The cop is now in his 50's. I saw him on a court tv clip about five years after this traffic stop. He was very chubby, balding, and they indicated he was a "retired" Maine State Trooper........besides..........he sure has a funny accent.........I actually had to find this video with captions to understand the conversation.

  • Love this video, and the Trooper is so fuckin hot. I sure would love to relieve his daily stresses.

  • I love it when the guy snatches the paper out of his hands at 0:43

  • that state trooper is buff, most of em here are fat as hell

  • I would have drug him out of that vehicle right then and there!

  • People like that should be loaded onto a rocket and sent to Jupiter.

  • Lmfao!!!! This is soooo funny!!!! The cop did an excellent job staying calm.. I would've probably laughed if I was the cop

  • shoot you were nice most others would of forced you out of the car and tazered you because they are power hungry nazis.

  • @JBBlitz omfg what is it with you people hating on the police

  • that guy lives 1000ft from me hahahaha

  • "theres some more right there" LMAO literally the coolest cop on the face of the earth.

  • Blackfalcon you right but the trooper should have arrest that man he's too social

  • ok.

  • Yo he grab the summons away from the state police now if that was black guy he would been dead

  • @loverboy7982 um, no, not in the state of maine. people are not that racist, On average we have only 20 anti black hate crimes. In addition, police brutality is also very rare and when it does happen, the officer is usually fired. A racist person would not be able to become a cop. Due to these facts, I would bet my lifes savings that no, if that person was black he would not be dead. I will even say I doubt he would have been treated at all differently.

  • @blackfalcon1324 After reading your comment I am assuming you live in Maine which I hope you do if so please clear this up for me. I have heard that the trooper was fired after this video and I have also heard that he retired and I heard even yet that the driver of the red SUV years later apologized to the trooper. So if you know what REALLY happened after this stop Please let me know.

  • @goarmymp but then again u are a police instructor & so it would be hard to get my point across since u seem to know everything so ima just leave it at that. Peace.

  • @goarmymp wat u mean i'm i hoping ppl believe 'my lies'?? it ain't like i'm goin around sayin "hey you guys that's a crooked cop" - you just goin of what you see in the video. I aint makin nobody believe what it is "I" have to say all i kno is i'm entitled to state what it is i have to say just like everyone else on here. NOT DAT SERIOUS

  • ahhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!! 137 dollars!! aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!

  • I have to say...this one of the coolest cops ever!!

  • if i was the officer i just say shut the fuck up

  • 2:01 haha

  • that cop is nice as hell. I'm in LA and cops here dont even ask questions, they just hold you over a table and cuff you. its like the movie idiocracy. though in midwest they fish for you more cause theres less to do.... lose lose

  • Lol, I've seen this vid countless times on shows like Real TV and Maximum Exposure...it's even more awesome to see the full, uncut version.

    major kudos to that cop

  • 1 minute in I would have shot him just to shut him up.

  • Nowadays the guy in the car would have been dead at 0:43. Cops are stupid pricks these days.

  • Wow that guy has impeccable patience

  • Good policing!

  • We use this tape in POST training to show all the things the officer did wrong in this traffic stop. Yes, he kept his composure, but there are many things he could have done different so the situation did not get to this point.

  • @Mrsmhealy for example?

  • Wow, he pulled over Elmer Fudd.

  • I cannot stop laughing. The officers sarcasm as he's explaining the ticket is just win.

  • @ThaRock1976 they actually found out that the trooper only submitted the portion of the tape where the driver was goin off on him; in the VERY beginning he was actually provoking the driver...he just wanted to make like he was doin his job but really he was a crooked cop so they fired him --sry for the late response btw

  • @NaeNae224 so youre hoping people believe your lies? What's the Trooper's name if you have the whole story? Because I know for a fact he continued his career until retirement

  • truly this is a police issue is an example of good public servant acted properly let the driver be expressed in full freedom and if the driver assaulted him he has to act not like these cops today are about human rights violators hope serving god 're still you I M DOMINICAN BLES

  • I would have tazed him.

  • Nice thinly veiled condescension tone of voice... OK, not thinly veiled. He was doing well until he got to the explaining of the ticket part. Then the douche-nozzle in his voice came through.

  • There are a lot of bullies in law enforcement and other areas of the criminal justice system. This state cop is well trained and has the proper attitude. See how the fellow that was probably pissed off at something else totally blew his cool and the trooper let him vent his anger. Excellent job trooper, everyone in law enforcement should watch this and use you as an example of excellent policing in the field.

  • UNBELIEVABLE calmness by the Trooper! If that had happened in Kentucky it would NOT have ended that way...

  • He is bipolor. He was taking Xanax, Klonipin, and Haldol............at the time of the stop.............i doin't know what he was taking at the time of the video.

again, I own 3 rental properties in Maine and pay over 20k in taxes.I side with the driver..

This is obviously why he was let go. I live in the Atlanta area now but look what happend to me when i asked about this? We are in a police state............To protect and searve..................with our tax dollars

  • this is a 20 year old video.....................he was already chunky back then...................think about plus he was fired 4 months after this video for provoking people...............what happend to the first part of the stop? While I now life in the south, I know the true story(still own two waterfront properties in Maine that cost me over 12K in taxes;) This cops is an asshole that provoed the driver

  • Kudos to the trooper! I definitely wouldn't have been able to keep my calm like him! I guess the best really do come from Maine! :)

  • I actually called the Maine State Police..........even though I'm in Atlanta, they tipped off the cops down here and I was arrested. The charge was abuse of 911. well it turns out that I never called 911 and never made a threat to anyone. I spent the night in jail and no charges were pressed. I don't give up though. I did contact Harold Watz, the the driver, and actually spoke with him. He did say his temper was outta control and that this was a long time ago.

  • I just saw this video 3 times ..............I have now changed my mind. I live in Atlanta............so I called the Maine state police.........................32 minutes later............I have 7 Atlanta police at my home. The message is this............the maine state police i grey called atlanta police in atlanta.............they showed up, I asked why they were here? they said Maine state police called them...the police would not let me talk and arrested me

  • Best....statey.....ever! That guy should be in Guinness....Worlds Calmest Cop! Where are the cops like that today? If that had happened today, that guy would've got his ass beat, tased, and arrested!

  • There really need to be more policemen like that out there.

  • Meltdown!

  • I would have done the same thing. Sure the guy could have been arrested but what purpose would this serve? While we only saw the second part of the traffic stop, this entire event probably lasted about 10 minutes. The summons was issued and the officer was on his way. If he arrested the guy, it would have been hours of work, and probably result in trial only for the guy to get sympathy from a jury of his working class peers. The cop used good discretion dealing with a pathetic old man.

  • @richard04101 the cop is working class, isnt he ?

  • @Evans81186 My point was that if it went to a trial, the jury would be a bunch of guys working at local mills that could see themselves having a bad day like this as well. Bottom line, It made more sense to take the guys tantrum, and issue the summons. It was mostly verbal abuse and while grabbing the ticket pad from the officer could be seen as assault, I don't think the cop felt a threat here. Finally, would you want this guy in the back of your car all the way to the nearest jail?

  • Comment removed

  • the police officer didnt give him the ticket, the suspect STOLE the ticket.

inorder to STEAL the ticket, he had to grab it off the cop, in the eyes of the law, thats assault.

and telling him to get the fuck out of here, is threatening

  • I would have drawn my gun, ripped open the door, threw his car keys on the ground, pulled him right out of the car, threw him on the ground, put him handcuffs, and charge him with

simple battery on a police officer, theft of police goods, and threatening an officer.

    :)

  • that is what we call a TRUE MAINE-IAC.....LOL

  • he sould have been booked for the way that cazy guy grap those papers out of his hand the fisrt time at 0:43 and talking like that in n.j no way would he be able to drive away after that

  • Did the cop pull over Tim Sample on Speed? lol

  • "There's some more right there..." classic

  • that guy needs a mental hospital.

  • hahahah you can jus hear it in that cops voice he wants to laugh. lol

  • This cop is my hero. As a citizen, if someone would talk to me that way I would beat them to a pulp. Obviously that's the reason this guy is a cop and not me.

  • The only reason that driver's face wasn't grinded into the pavement is because the camera was on.

Its also possible the cop was high.

  • Cop must smoke weed.

  • "state or loco"

  • i would have tazed him in the face

  • Holy shit he was going 57 in a 40, I'm glad we have cops out there to deal with maniacs like that.

  • "what would you do as the officer?" it should say "what would you do as the TROOPER?"

  • Comment removed

  • I'm in the academy right now, and I should take notes from this guy because that is not easy to do. In todays world, the second someone lays their hand on or that close to me. Their getting arrested. kudos to this trooper though.

  • @DjCass1556

First off good luck to you, i would like to become a state trooper in connecticut i need to get past the application phase first. Second are you at the academy for state or local police?

  • @atgskater14..Thank you. I just got through the whole process of getting the job, so I spent the week in and out of viewing others in the academy to be exact. I go to school in Mass. and am an intern with the Mass. State Police. However May 7th i start in a local police academy in NJ (where i am from) as a SLEO II. Which is a "special" officer who has all the powers a normal cop while on duty. I'm only 19, but hopefully in 3 years I'll be with the NJ State Police.

  • @DjCass1556

I wish you look and in 3 years hope fully people will be calling you trooper.

  • @DjCass1556 It's "They're getting arrested." As in "they are." I wish cops had to have higher than a 5th grade education.

  • @sbfpat First off I am a college student working my ass off at one of the best criminal justice programs in the Northeast. You my friend should keep your comments to yourself if you do not have something positive to say to someone. It is people like you who cause problems in the world, if you had a problem with what I said, tell it to yourself; I do not want to hear it. Also for you to profile cops as all having a "5th grade education" is a disgrace. One of them might just save your life one day

  • @DjCass1556 one of them MIGHT save my life, but 10 of them will definitely harass me for no reason. i'd rather die than pay a bunch of retards a salary to pull people over all day for trying to get to work on time.

  • @sbfpat you're an idiot.

  • @AJB540 you're an idiot.

  • @AJB540 you're a faggot

  • the rent is to dam high!

  • haha, i would have tazzed

  • this is hilarious I love how he just stayed calm the whole time and when he said he was gonna do him for littering if he didn't pick it up what a legend

  • Lol Bill Clintin

  • I love it when he gets back in and then the State Trooper says "Theres more right there" at 3:17

  • this shit is oldddd!!

  • All of my Criminal Investigation professors best stories are about when he completely mindfucks people like this. LOVE IT!!

  • Thats how police officer should respone in these cases great job.

  • I was honestly stunned at the way that this state trooper and the way he handled this stop. The only mistake that the trooper made, was not throwing that nut job in jail. As far as I am concerned, that driver should be thankful that there isn't a law against being an idiot. I am seriously impressed with the trooper.

  • Maine State troopers are Fine officers well trained and curtious.

  • you people don't know maine if you think that guy is a nutjob.

  • @j0shuatree Fuck Maine police. They've nothing better to do then plan a fucking agenda dependent on whether they need more money or not. You can't make someone use a fucking seatbelt, sorry. This one guy may have handled it terribly, but that's not an accurate representation of someone being pulled over...

  • Such anger, he clearly has neglected while he was a child, just let him vent lol. This State Trooper handled this situation perfectly, I would have to say that some other officer might not have been as nice to that guy as he was. That guy doesn't know how lucky he was being able to leave in his own car. The Trooper could have easily arrested him for his acts or gave him a larger fine.

  • This police officer got this man so angry when it wasnt neccesary, talking to him in such a condesending manner did not help the situation any.

On top of that, hes lucky he didnt get smoked into traffic inviting that man to get out of his vehicle twice.. and standing so close to the door.

  • "Change is coming. When Bill Clinton gets sworn in tonight...change is coming" Years later..."Change is coming. When Obama gets sworn in tonight change is coming."

  • @eshbrobgm3 bill did allot of good, he made many changes that caused this country to have one of its greatest economic times ever. Second this has what to do with anything

  • if i was that cop that man would be on his way to jail, or atleast I would have been fired for brutality and maybe manslaughter hint hint

  • I love it when americans complain about our cops, lets have the russian cops take over for a few days. In russia there is no such thing as a police brutality complaint, you will be laughed away.

  • @eshbrobgm3 Except change did happen in the 90s, we had a budget surplus until 2001, when someone else was sworn in.

  • I would have arrested him upon grabbing at my ticket book very early in the tape. It's OK to scream and yell at me, but you grab my property from my hand and you're going to jail for disorderly conduct.

  • Gottta Love Our Maine Staties

  • lmao "there aint no way i aint guilty!"

  • in most countries he would be arrested for the belligerent language and tone.... his demeanor shouldnt be allowed, his behavior should be against the law.

  • @JessOnTheRun We used this in training for Verbal Judo with the NYPD some 16 years ago. Your point is correct - the driver could have been arrested for Disorderly Conduct, and even charged with an assault as he flailed his arms onto the officer. However, fortunately as a police officer we are given discretion. You would be surprised on how many of us disagreed with the officer - but one thing as a police officer it's never good to be a Monday Morning Quarterback - after 27 years, I saw many!

  • @NYPDmos Still.... it makes civilians angry as hell to see this... I know the officer was using restraint and trying to de/escalate it all and was just being a cool cucumber.... he would rather the civilians involved press the charges .... but this is ridiculous.... this woman disrupted many things for her little game. shameful... her being muslim might have had something to do with that discretion you speak of, as that could easily blow up into something that its not.

  • @JessOnTheRun I'm a little confused on the Muslim woman you are speaking of. The operator of this vehicle was a male Caucasian. But if we use the basic common denominator in this case - the officer was neither right, nor wrong. His actions are subjective to the individual officer - I have had many encounters like this while on Highway Patrol - at no time did anyone ever just receive a summons after picking up their hands to me.

  • lmao he's sooooo chill. I woulda pulled him outta the car and smacked some sense into him lol

  • You're right. It was "pills". I saw a vid with the script.

  • true legend.

  • When he was given the fine, I swear, that's the highest I've ever heard a man's voice go without getting kicked right in the nutsack.

Anyway, kudos to the Trooper for keeping his cool.

  • I love how hard he slams that door.

  • I dont know how this police Officer was not laughing at this guy. but I do have to say this officer is a true profectional.

  • the cop needs to LRN2TAZOR

  • Truthfully to be honest the cop DID NOT TURN ON THE RECORDING TAPE UNTIL AFTER HE PROVOKED THE DRIVER. That's why the guy was acting like that...the cop was calling him out his name and cursing him out and that's why he later got fired. The unit found the evidence

  • @NaeNae224 Where did you find that information?

  • @NaeNae224 Uhhhh I call bullshit. What was this supposed evidence the unit found.

  • That trooper was so cool about it but in reallity he could have taken that idiot to jail, that guy complaining about prices and no money well I have simple solution for him: "don't speed you asshole" speeding wastes mor gas, causes accidents, more wear and tear on your car and fines. You want more money asshole?!? Well save it.

  • But he only wanted to get some kibbles for his dog!! LOL!! Seriously, that guy really was over the edge. Kudos to the trooper.

  • @scorpietta

I thought he said "pills", then he said "because he's about to... (die)... GIMME THE FFIN THING BLAH BLAH"

At any rate, its funny someone suggesting the cop might have provoked him before filming started. It's true cops and crazies can have personal problems, but the guy didnt even notice whether the cop was a "statie". I don't think they knew each other personally, that dude probably calls a lot of people "asshoe" lol.

  • I can't believe that guy didn't go to jail.

  • THis is fucking hilarious!

  • Lol, I have to ask, where's that driver's accent from?! It's makin' me crack up!

  • @BananaGinny Maine

  • @BananaGinny It's definitely a Downeast Maine accent given what he's doing with his R's... but I think there's some "crazy person" accent mixed in with it.

  • @BananaGinny Southern Maine Where we pahk tha cah in tha yahd,

  • State Trooper: bye

    EPIC WIN!!!!!!

  • lol im from maine and listen to that accent lol i'd be fucking pissed lol i have been pulled over by state pd and he'd should shoot him lol wow

  • "Welocme to Woostah, Dollah twenty five please"

  • lmao 7 dollar glasses here

  • Wow.....

  • SOMBODY SUBTITLE THIS PLEASE!!!!

  • I would pulled the TRIGGER !!

  • I would not have let the driver leave in that kind of state. He was an accident waiting to happen and would be better cooling off in the back of the Police car than he would be on the road.

Very good diversionary tactic, the boot was probably full of narcotics, Couldn't help but notice the car wasn't searched.

Driver without insurance + 4x4 + attitude towards authority = Dodgy

  • @TheLiquidKnight It was some country bumbkin who was over stressed, and tired of the police. Not to mention it was just a ticket. Get over yourself Mr. Law.

  • The copper is a comedian. Deadpan.

  • That guy has a very high squeeky girls like voice.

  • Guy: ill pay the fucking fine. Cop:........

  • so this is why police officers are in such a bad mood when i get pulled over... its because they probably dealt with people like this first thing in the morning.

  • @B00gle No. It's just because most police officers are underpaid and overworked for what they do. Unless your in a calm place like this. Just a peacful highway, you have over zealous or corrupt cops everywhere.

  • Before the TASER was invented this was how police officers dealt with the public.

  • i kinda fel sorry the guy that got the ticket but in all seriousness that cop is either high or just really tolerant

  • if i was that cop i would shot him in his face

  • this cop looks like he has a great body!

  • You have to give it to the Trooper for putting up with this Ass Hole!

  • Wow, what an amazing upstanding cop.

  • I love how the officer patronizes the driver. Classic. Kudos.

  • Poor policeman :(

  • that policeman is a legend.

  • 10/10 customer service right there officer!
