WTF! Its not Ae-Jacks!!. Its pronounced more like Ah-Yax; "a" as in arm. In continental Europe "j" is pronounced like 'y' Hence Cruyff is really spelt as Cruijff in the Netherlands.

& just to add, Oranje is pronounced O-run-yay. The best & most attractive football team ever esp in 1974.

Pele was a forward. Maradona was the deep forward or rather the guy who fills the hole betn midfielders & the striker or creative forward - Bergkemp type of position.

Cruyff was essentially an attacking midfielder. with a free role, so he roams all over the place to do greatest damage to opponents,no fixed posn. He was deep forward with Barca, attacking midfielder with Ajax & was placed as Centre forward with Oranje but never operated as 1. Oranje never had a true centre forward in 74.

Cruyff was awesome but I think the defender sucked ass. he was really slow to react but the move was really awesome. he didn't even control the ball it was all one movement. and the finish was just freaking godly.

I don't think it's that he's slow to react, I think he's expecting Cryuff to kill the ball and take him on, so he's taken position facing him flat. When the ball passes him he has to turn a full 180 degrees. I love this goal. Possibly one of the best ever.
