Susanna was one of the greatest sopranos of the 20th century. Did she ever make recordings? I don't know of any. Deanna Durbin made many while under contract to Universal. Other stars like Gloria Jean were not given the same privilege, and this is a shame.

Susanna Foster's voice, at ages 13 to 20, compares favorably to that of both contempories Gloria Jean and Deanna Durbin at that age. She had much more range than either, while Durbins was a bit fuller and Jean's a bit more agile. Foster was far and away the superior actress of the three.
