Wuterich is a lying fucker. Doctors who performed autopsies said that none of the victims in house 2 died of shrapnel wounds, instead they were shot close range in the chest and head and not random places as would be expected if the marines charged in spraying bullets.

It seems the corporal was told by the guys who fought in Falluja before and told him to treat it like Fallujah where there was an exit order, but this wasn't Falluja. He shouldnt have listened to them in the heat of the moment, but soldiers can reinforce bad behavior.
In my opinion, the history of the insurgency in this town plus the death ot Terrazas and the wounding of the other two Marines would have warranted turning 6 or 8 square blocks surrounding the area of the IED attack that killed Terrazas into a smoldering pile of rubble.The Hadithans got off easy.

In the US most police cars have cameras that record incidents so no one has to wonder so much listening to the various witnesses. Anyone wonder why these very inexpensive video cameras are not on each US military vehicle? Cause they don't want to show the whole story and they want a way out. Wuterich is a lying fucker. Doctors who performed autopsies said that none of the victims in house 2 died of shrapnel wounds, instead they were shot close range in the chest and head and not random places as would be expected if the marines charged in spraying bullets.

The questions are good, and you can just see what's going on in this guy's head through his eyes. 5:00 in it's like he goes back to the room. Whether or not he did what he did out of anger or what he actually thought was right he couldn't have left that day unscathed. The whole video I barely listened to his responses I just focused on his body language, and you can literally see the effects of it on him. I can't imagine what it's like

What happened here is a SSgt that fucked up. This guy didn't have any combat experience before coming out there which boggles my mind this guy was put in charge of veteran grunts (of Fallujah no less) to do a combat security mission.
I ain't throwing fellow Marines under the bus but from the circumstances I have seen so far, it basically was a result of Marines snapping from seeing a fellow brother die and killing Iraqis indiscriminately. He failed as a leader to criminal acts.

It seems the corporal was told by the guys who fought in Falluja before and told him to treat it like Fallujah where there was an exit order, but this wasn't Falluja. He shouldnt have listened to them in the heat of the moment, but soldiers can reinforce bad behavior.

In my opinion, the history of the insurgency in this town plus the death ot Terrazas and the wounding of the other two Marines would have warranted turning 6 or 8 square blocks surrounding the area of the IED attack that killed Terrazas into a smoldering pile of rubble.The Hadithans got off easy.

The soldier went through a lot of trauma, his friend was torn to pieces, and he cracked. I am sorry he went through that or was sent there.

Many people had ignored the fact that these soldiers, as well as their officials, had lied. Some villiagers, for instance, were killed by their bullets, but were then reported as the victims of the terrorist bomb. The video had also showed clearly that the soldier was lying about what happened to the men 'running away from the car.'
They knew it very well that they were doing something very wrong, and that's why they lied.

@manshun1981 I think the soldier is a scapegoat, because he was caught. If he wasn't caught, then nothing would have happened. You hear these stories all the time. He is the fall guy who cracked as squad leader. He wanted to protect his men and also retaliate. Soldiers don't want to die.

In the US most police cars have cameras that record incidents so no one has to wonder so much listening to the various witnesses. Anyone wonder why these very inexpensive video cameras are not on each US military vehicle? Cause they don't want to show the whole story and they want a way out. But it's also a tribute to the US military that many more incidents like this do not occur. Sure, many incidents do, but most troops are probably not nearly murderers of civilians. Could be a lot worse

Since these civilians are casualties of war, then the Marines who killed them without trying to avoid it by shouting for them to come out instead of just tossing in grenades- they too should be casualties of war and be prosecuted for murder of civilians in this and other cases like blackwater.

It's always so easy to blame soldiers. Insurgents are using guerilla warfare in densly populated urban areas, they're indistinguishable from civilians, they hide among women and children, using them as shields - signing a death warrant for some civilians with these actions. Lets put your spoiled asses in to the same scenario and see how will you react to the situation, where you are constantly being hit by the unknown enemy, who's using sneaky cowardly tactics

I could even go on to say that by joining the Air Force, your chances of seeing actual Combat from less than 15 thousand feet are extremely slim; which is probably the reason you chose to joined the Air Force. He was a leader of his squad and allowed civilians to get killed. He did not identify the threat in those homes, simply went in guns blazing. Just look at the recent Apache video posted by WikiLeaks. Their attitude summs everything up. Just because someone did not serve before does not mean that only military personell can have a say in an issue. When I look at our military I would like to think that they actually do good overseas, this however damages military's image overseas as well as home.
