  • IF YOu could train a damn dog, you wouldn't NEED a remote control device for a living animal! Dumbass.

  • Why do you always sound angry when you give your dog his sit/stay/come cues? I wouldn't want to hang around you, or come back to you either. No wonder you think you need a shock collar.

  • @sequoyahbean Tonality is determined by assessing a baseline or average. To just assume anger in tonality is inadequate. It must be assessed after observing the spectrum of the tonality of the individuals involved. Your happy is not my happy perhaps. And assuming "angry" is not necessarily justified either.

  • Your dog is very beautiful. I have a very willful dog also. I trained with the beep as well. She has listened to me since. :)

  • The shock collar does hurt, but minimally. Most dogs only get shocked twice and learn that when they hear the beep to come back (or obey whatever command) without ever having to be shocked again. However, shock collars should be used by people who understand the training method, not by people who over-use and zap the dog whenever he looks at the owner wrong.

  • with two months he should listen a little better shouldn't he?...im thinking of getting a training collar like this because my dog already knows all the basics but i want to teach him the more complicated things...

  • thansk for the time watser.

  • shows all the ignorant dog owners, don't want the shock collar cause it works. They want trouble with people, neighbours and killing of other animals. These people should not own dogs - shock collars are the best, see how respectful this dog is. Seems like shock collars hurt more of the dummy owners then the dogs. Remember they are dogs - not your family. Some people are really sick in the head to think a dog is their child when only human children can be. Dogs will not pay for your funeral

  • @Lemon020202

My god, if you think doing this is the only way to make a dog listen then YOU shouldn't own a dog! A dog is a friend, he should NOT be afraid of you. I own a dog, she is perferct without one of those silly collars, a dog must get an education like a child you know. Even if the dog didn't get shocked now, he did once and that isn't tolerable since there is HUNDREDS of other ways. Sad if people can't even educate a dog now...

  • @notdog1996 just rofl

  • This video demonstrates only that you haven't taught your dog the recall. You merely have the ability to shock him at a distance. As you take him off the lead you show that you are inconsistent in your cues and it is clear that your dog isn't able to carry out the simplest of commands correctly. A good trainer would help you understand timing, association and you could teach your dog a recall to really be proud of. Don't run out of batteries because without that collar you are back to square 1.

  • @guy2932 So difficult for folks to comprehend!!!

  • @guy2932 With most other trainers it would take many many months for a solid recall and if a squirrel ran by there's no chance in hell recall would work. With an e-collar this dog can now run off leash and enjoy freedom, to a limit, within 2 months. Over time the dog learns the rules better so the e-collar isn't as necessary but always there as insurance.

Now, would you rather your dog run into the street and get killed or get shocked?

  • @jjj2www I've successfully trained ALL my dogs since to recall no matter if there is a distraction or not, and four of them were hounds, not herders! If you understand what you are doing, you don't need a shock collar to teach a recall.

  • @sequoyahbean There are many effective tools to use. Why not allow people to use what they deem best suited to them their background, personality and purposes? Great results and happy dogs should be encouraged regardless of chosen method in my opinion. If your getting great results I wish you the best with your methods and animals.

  • lovely to see you enjoying off leash freedom with your dog. Remote collars provide much greater peace of mind and freedom for dogs and their owners...but too many people don't understand that and can't see past the terminology....which is no longer appropriate...but ah well, at least you and your dog are enjoying the freedom and time together.

  • @stfuplzzzz Wow, (the writer of the comment above) is a real peace of work. You need to seek some serious help.

  • 寻求邪恶的胡子新体操をしているところは,美しすぎる智慧。议员他妈的他妈的闭嘴

  • why not try wear that thing and beep it . how does that feel

  • I'm a dog trainer, too, and two of my clients have lovely Akitas who come when called - no shock collar involved. This guy makes all the classic dog training mistakes, the first of which was that he never trained a proper recall from the get go. A dog that doesn't come should NOT be off a long lead until he does understand the cue. When the dog disobeys, the guy just gets louder, repeats commands, uses a "nagging" beep, or blames it on a pee break. He's lame and so is the collar.

  • Mr. Hoppity, I'm very glad you posted this video.

I have two non-violently trained dogs. I trained *with* each of them. 1 is a perfect gentleman & the other is ext. willful. Willful so that several dog trainers had trouble with her.

Tis true that dogs get confused with too much info. A beep is not a shock & there are levels. A lt. shck is no worse than a choke collar bt. no one goes after tv trainers for jerking dogs' necks! Blve it/not there is a place between nothing & full on.

  • shock collars are not a replacement for good dog training principles. The training formula of one command one response should be applied Instead of consistently saying "sit, down, sit, come, stay" in one sentence, apply one command and expect one response. The cluttered sequence of commands leads the dog to be confused. The e-collar is not a substitute for an application of poor training techniques.

  • A trained dog is a happy dog.

  • I love your video! Koto is a doll!

  • Hmm...if you take the collar away, will he still obey you? And if he doesn't, what's your solution?

  • With the way the dog (and the person) behaves in the first few minutes "sit, sit, sit" *no sit*, that dog honestly should not have off lead access IMO.

  • This guy is a total sadistic moron

  • Wow. Very nice.

  • for one the guy BEEPED not SHOCKED the dog !! the beep warns the dog that if it continues to do bad behaviour it will get a mild shock , also this dog has got more freedom cause the owner has no fear of his dog running off , killing/chasing a animal or just plain ignoring him.

  • @weirdoguy

I was beginning to think no one understood the dog benefits....

    Big time

  • @weirdoguy But you have to shock him so he is afraid of the beep. Why don't you beep him to get a reward? You can do the same thing without using a shock at all. He would be just as safe using a reward methold.

  • @k9trainer30 well if the dog was to go after another do for an example why would you beep the good what it has known as a good thing instead of a beep meaning stop what you are doing or else because if the beep ment good boy instead of stop then how would you control the dog without shocking it all the time ?

  • @k9trainer30 well if he thought the beep was a good thing aka a treat then why would you beep if he was to attack another dog for example ? , if he knows the beep as a mild shock upwards then as he was running you would beep and he would stop because he knew it would lead to a shock and you would find after one shock the dog would not want to do it again if used properly

  • He does not think the BEEP is a treat he thinks its an instruction to return.. and he does it: more freedom etc. YOU NEVER USE A SHOCK OR BEEP IF TWO DOGS FIGHT::::: NEVER ::: you make sure you have seen the need for a recall before a problem like "a fight" occurs.

If your dog gets in a fight YOU WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION.

  • what do you not understand? "the dog has benefited from it immeasurably "

  • Dog got a BEEP not a shock? BEEP never killed a dog yet?

  • @boomxtwo are you gay?

  • @boomxtwo I'm a dog trainer. When used PROPERLY, an electronic collar is one of the best training tools ever invented. Nothing else provides immediate correction for KNOWN commands at a distance. That said, this dog is not well-trained. "Sit, sit, sit," "Stay, stay, stay," and "Come, come, come" tell me the dog needs more work with a leash. Still, I must reiterate that the e-collar is purely to reinforce fully taught commands NOT to teach the dog what the commands mean.

  • Wow, nicely demonstrated, thanks. What a lovely place for walks, are you in Scotland?

  • yep... its the Beauly river

  • What the F*ck is worng with you!!!!!

  • this is horrible...

  • what do you not understand? "the dog has benefited from it immeasurably "

  • He's got to train him somehow. Real trainers are very expensive. From the looks of it he only used it when he needed. Besides, its just a dog.

  • beautiful dog, shock yourself you stupid krat. i dont think he likes you.

  • hi looks like it works well i too own an akita and totally agree you just cant let a high prey drive dog off the lead .

    was on lodsa poxy forums

handbag dog owners blog crap about

cruelty when you mention training collers

much more freedom and happiness for the dog to have

what brand and model do you have ?

any links to any dog coller reviews

    was looking at the canicom1500

but the aireal looks a bit flimbsey ?

  • Its a sport hunter 800

800 metres range; can have two dogs on 1 collar..

The dog looks forward to it going on...it means a walk and he is well happy to wear it.....

I was unsure because of the bleating about cruelty: its not cruel and the dog has benefited from it immeasurably
