  • bands these days just seem to have forgotten how important the stage show really is

  • @ddr78759 indeed he was. But goddamn am i such a fan boy of his music

  • I WANT THIS TO BE MY LIFE. \m/

  • I've not heard of this before, but it appears to have stunts from other movies. The Cadillac jumping out of the concrete pipe is from "Speedtrap", and I think I also saw "Eleanor" from the original "Gone in 60 Seconds".

  • @jazzspoons The Stunts are performed by Grant Page, australian stuntman. the stunts in the movie are from other movies or file footage of his stunts, but the movie seems to swap and change between a doco on grant page / sorcery.. its rather unusual

  • "Play Big Bottom!"

  • William Flegal is Stunt Rock

  • @dudesons441 When this film was made in 78' William Flegal was in diapers...DUDE!

  • My friends and I saw STUNTROCK in Phoenix...the place was packed!

Loved the music, and the inside look at Stuntwork from a true master..Grant Page.

  • To banduril: On a "Kenny Pick" Radio interview, ,Perry Morris from the band "SORCERY" said when asked about the tragic night club fire involving the group "Great White" ... Sorcery had a "Licensed Pyrotect" at every show they did for the Fire Marshall inspections before they went on. From L.A. Concerts to Las Vegas Concerts,SORCERY never had any problems due their great crew, and would not have used fire in a room that small as Great White did.

  • Shouldn't it be Magic Stunt Rock?

  • @holycrapyousuck Close..I'm thinking "STUNTROCK-MAGIC"

I saw the film, it was awesome!!!

  • More bands should have a wizard conjuring fireballs on stage when they play live. I definitely see a market for that in this day and age.

  • @666slink They (SORCERY from L.A.CA.) were doing this back in the 70's.

Can you imagine seeing this live...AWESOME!!!

Yea,more bands should be doing more for their live audiences these days.

  • @ddr78759 You ain't lying! Live shows today aren't what they used to be back in the day apparently.

  • @666slink Yeah, just look at Great White. Fire on stage turned out nicely for them.

  • @banduril Well, bad things happen to people that write things like, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy". Also, if you have short bus champions working the pyro things are probably going to go awry.

  • @banduril That's what happens when you don't know what you are doing!

Apparently SORCERY were better prepared that Great White to work with fire.

Never heard of any SORCERY concerts going up in Smoke...have you?

  • Don't fuck with the wizard.

  • Last night at the "NEW BEVERLY Cinema" ( in L.A. CA.) was another testiment to the drawing power of this film. Directed by Brian Trenchard Smith, starring Grant Page, Monique Van DeVin and the Band Sorcery. The audience was excited to be there, a fun atmosphere and all were entertained. The local media reporters in attendence were not disappointed.

As quoted by one L.A. reporter "We had a great time watching this film".

Thanks to all from the Beverly Cinema for putting this on.

  • Does anyone know if these guys are still around?

I heard they were recently in L.A. to attend a screening of this film.

I was wondering if they were also playing a show.

I would love to see this band live!

  • @RTHinAZ I hear some of the band mates are in So. Ca. and Arizona.

They have a page at youtube."youtube/sorceryband"

Also more info on them on the web.

    Use..."Sorcery band" or "Stuntrock Movie"

Don't confuse with the Ill band,or the Black Metal band

    with the same name.

Also try..."Sorcery rock band LA Ca usa". at "wikipedia"

That may help you to get more info on them.

  • ok why didn't anyone tell me about this?

the trailer alone almost made me shit myself

  • @rickertb2004 About ST6/Devgru.

The Navy's DEVGRU group, better known as "Seal Team Six", was made famous by their original commander, Richard Marcinko. The origins of ST6 can be traced to the aftermath of Operation Eagle Claw, the failed 1980 attempt to rescue American hostages at the U.S. Embassy in Iran. Marcinko was the first commanding officer of this new unit which he named SEAL Team Six.

It became officially operational in 1981 "Fight 4 Lg Cats to gain addmission"

    Nice try!

  • Fighting cats that don't want to fight. You must be proud of yourself. It sounds to me like the pussy here is rickertb2004

  • do not fuck with that wizard guy

  • If I saw this band live I would shit out of my dick.

  • CLASSIC!!! six stars!

  • My god....!!! Rock \"/!!!!!

  • Saw the movie when i was a kid in 1980. Needles to say some images you just don't forget. Can remember the name of a few of the songs too. Love the Merlin vs. the Prince of Darkness scenes.

  • I saw these guys live in Hollywood back in the 70's with Van Halen and they stole the show ! They were great! I can't believe I found this! I would like to see more on this band!

  • When did they open for Van Halen, Lapspd?

IN what venue did it the concert(s) take place?

  • Sorcery didn't open..Sorcery was the Headlining band! More than once in So.Cal back in 76' and 77.

They were also on numerous TV and movie soundtracks.

  • Scenes from Gone in 60 seconds? Yes, yes they were..

  • this so badass!

  • the merlin character rocks!

  • Dear God, this is pure cinematic genius.

    Epic WIN.

  • greatest concept ever. They made awesome cliche rock before it became cliche. God, I love it so much! Can you imagine how cool it would have been to see van halen open for them? THAT IS JUSTICE!
