  • That residue might have been the annato, the same additive that makes cheddar cheese orange. Looks flat and cloudy. Thanks for the review

  • baaaarp!!!! "no charge" hahahahaa too funny

    great review

  • I had a glass of this for lunch last weekend. I ate hash browns with a fried egg and bacon. It paired so well with it! I suggest you try it.

  • Theobrama (one word)... Theobrama means Food of the God's.

  • Have you ever tried Innis & Gunn? It's a Scottish beer that is aged in whiskey barrels. I think you'd really like it

  • Gotta love the dogfish. How do you not have dogfish? I thought that was nation wide. You should review a Lakefront Brewery beer. Sorry to hear you didn't like your Obrama. Great review!

  • Dude, my girlfriend and I watch your videos every time we drink and appreciate your reviews so so much! You're awesome

    Bro!

  • your reviews made me wish i liked the taste of beer

  • Dude... try hoegaarden! it sooo good!

  • Hi,

not much head on this one and it disolved very fast!

The Annatto sounds weird to me....

Annatto is what makes american cheddar look so orange...

    Joe from Germany

  • Good job on the reviews bro!! Watching you on the iPad and streaming through the Apple TV.

  • If you haven't already, you need to review Piraat Ale. It's amazing. 10.5% ABV. It will fuck you up...lol

  • I see a lot of different comments on your videos about people telling you to "sip" your beer. Yeah, don't do that. When you're taking the first "drag" of a beer you always do AT LEAST 2 gulps so you can get everything. Sipping it makes you get the first taste on your tongue and the finish only. Taking a nice long drag lets you get the aromas and the hidden notes in the beer. I love your reviews man because you're a beer snob in taste but not a beer snob in action.

  • I like your reviews a lot. You should do Steam Whistle (brewed in Toronto, Canada) at some point, I'd totally send you a can. I don't think it's available down south.

  • You should be a radio announcer, you have a solid voice. no homo.

  • its not "the obrama" it's all one word - theobrama THEObrama

  • Nice to have u back. U have been missed.

  • Nice to see another beer review Joe D. I had a similar overall impression as you on this one. I got a lot of cocoa in the nose, but the chili and annatto flavors really put me off. Disappointing, since I loved one of their other ancient beers - "Chateau Jiahu"

  • St. Pauli Girl Special Dark review this please.

  • Yeah man I agree, this beer is seriously lame. Not much flavor at all besides just being really sweet. Big buzzkill, the label is so cool too! I even bought the poster when I visited the brewery. Very disappointed in the beer :(

  • can you review keystone light.

  • i had this at the brewery a few days ago... this definitely seems like a bad bottle..

  • hey joe do you drink any other alcoholic drinks other than beer? just wondering.

  • i agree on the shirt. otherwise its really rad. sumptin different.

  • yea i used to live in penn so i had some doggie beers then but he has yet to distribute anywhere in the midwest either. i personally not really doggie man nor a rogue guy. tho i give more credit to rogue for what they do......just not enuf sweetness 4 me

  • obama brew? = obrama ? wha does anybody tink?

  • I was not a fan of this one as well JD - I remember it being sweet, and tasting the annatto the most - it was a combination I had not tasted before - can not remember much more except it took me all day to drink it. Try the Sahtea if you can, I really enjoyed that one.

  • Theobroma (translated into 'food of the gods')

  • Surprising review. I love Dogfish Head beer, and this is one of my favorites. Of course they are a local brewery here in DE, so maybe the beer was fresher? It's rare that I've had a bad glass of beer from these guys.

  • great to have you back, you jolly amazing fellow!

  • @cottager1990 looks a bit like a Hefeweizen with the coloring

  • you should try the worldwide stout by dogfish, its delicious.

  • Another great beer review! Thanks :)

  • had this beer and a lot of my friends said the same thing the beer is ok to me but its not a must buy or stock up unlike the squall from dogfish. the theobramas i have had did taste off at the start then real sour toward the end both bottles were not purchased at the same time so i marked it up to beer. needed a strong flavor cheese to take the taste away crackers were not doing the trick. keep the reviews up and keep drinking

  • You da man.

  • i berly started watching ur reviews a few months back im happy u made a new one brother, i must have watched ur other ones a thousand time bro. and i wanna thank for getting me into beer, it's very important to me since im in culinary school and i dont like wine, there like "with beef you drink red wine" im like "go to hell ill drink a beer" and again bro thanks, i sent VideoBeerReviews a recipe and the beer i drank it" hope he makes it

  • Nice to see you back, where have u been?

  • are you on facebook? big fan and big beer fan!

  • theobroma cacaco is the latin name for chocolate. there's no space there "theobroma" not "the obroma"

  • sounds exotic, I wouldn't mid trying it

  • Cool video, love your voice.

  • Great video your reviews never cease to disappoint me it is both entertaining and informing.

  • Good to see you back Joe, its been a while! Alot has happened in the ''beer tubing'' scene. I started reviewing about a year ago too. Sounds like a quite dissapointing though. Cheers man!

  • Keep up the good work, bro!

  • audio isn't synced with the video man :( shitty beer btw , good job :p

  • the obama? lol

  • Great to you you back mate!! Think dog fish tried to hard with with that beer, it looked flat :-(

  • Try Guinness foreign extra Stout.

  • No Charge.

  • It's Theobroma. lol

  • Good to see a vid again. Joe D!!!

  • haha these reviews always get me in a good mood. glad your back.

  • Is everyone blind? It quite clearly says TheobrOma.

  • HAAA, Joe D. The man. What up homey? You know what I've found? I've tested this with a few Dogfish beers. I try them at the recommended temp but I usually like them at about 20 degrees warmer.

  • Hey Joe D. Nice to see you again! Looking well.

  • How you doin' man? Great to see a new video. That beers looked kinda like a wheat beer/ale/amber..

Try the Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. :)

    Cheers.

  • I love ales!

It seems like a flat or off lager but flat and off lagers generally the carbonations gone away in them, so this beers kinda weird.

Hey well there bound to be some rubbish beers out there, cant all be gold.

  • it's about time you did a review keep them coming peace

  • Just like D.C............ it went ugly early. Love Dogfish IPA's....sorry to see them mess with you. At least it was free.

  • Good to see you back.

  • nice

  • @BrofessorNeeko Thanks for watching

  • Hope you're back with reviews now, it's beena while. The audio sync went out at the kast there. It wassorta disconcerting watching your lips not match the words.

  • @KeithsBeerReviews I know it went out of sync. But I figured I would post it anyway since I hadn't posted in a while.

  • Wow! Good to have you back!! I think it's theobrama though. Love your reviews man, please keep it going!

  • @ThaVenom88 Well have been really busy with my photography. Also I have been working out the last month have lost 30 pounds so far. And taking care of my Mom eats up tons of my time. So I finally had a few minutes to put the together finally.

  • @jjdaven I Can Feel Yu SO Bring Sexy Back LOL

  • Alot of the beers you test we don;t have here in The Netherlands, what is to bad, because i get very thirsty when watching your reviews!

  • @youpooner Thank you for continuing to watch.

  • @jjdaven Maybe a lil' request from a Dutchman. If you can get your hand's on some Grolsch, would you review it?

I really want to know what an American thinks of a Dutch brewed beer:)

    Thanks in advance

  • Theobrama* not The Obrama. :) great review, cheers!

  • @silentbooger Thanks for watching.
