Notice how at 7:24 Milhaud combines the two principal motives of the second movement. What a wonderful piece. I love the jazzy flavor and humor in the first and last movements! Nicely done by the Duo.
Listening to these pianists gives an enourmous pleasure. I have commented before on this, but, quicly, I have compared these two to the others on YouTube - and THERE IS NO COMPARISON at all. These two are THE BEST!!!
Listen to all of the 18 string quartets (2 of which can be played simultaneously by a string octet!) and, as duester45 stated, everything else! Milhaud was a marvel.
WOW!!! Those guys are GREAT!!! Such a tremendous demanding performance!!! I do not know how to thank you, robshelrobshel for posting this great video. The Piano Synergy Duo was not known to me, but thanks to YouTube I love them now. I went to their website - there is more there!!! Very entertaining, THANKS !!!
Absolutely wonderful performance. This first video (first of the two) is covering two movements. Though I enjoyed both of them, the second is much more dear to me due to their playing. It is very intimate (in the second movement). In the first - dazzling passages with great percision. "Piano Synerg Duo" is a great ensemble. Hope to hear and see much more of them. Thanks for posting.
I love this!! I had to learn the first mvt with another guy in one week!

I have heard this piece all my life and always been fascinated by it´s sense of fun, irony, and whimsy.
It just makes me feel good.

I love the delicate call-and-answer that starts at around 4:45 and these guys play it fabulously.
