Commercial hot chocolate is so gross! I'm so glad to see someone else making REAL hot chocolate :) I like to make mine with super dark chocolate, honey, whole milk, and sometimes a little bit a cinnamon/nutmeg or vanilla or mint or orange extract. I definitely want to try chocolate extract next time.
Her new book is Suicide by Sugar. I have a major disagreement with Weston A Price Foundation about their recommendation to eat Raw Honey, black strap molasses etc... If it tastes sweet t should be spit out. Even too much whole fruit is detrimental to our health, not just fruit juices, despite the "fiber" rationalization.
Be careful with cane juice. It's still loaded with fructose/glucose. Get a copy of Nancy Appleton's LIck the Sugar Habit. we should eliminate ALL sweeteners from our lives.
Honey, raw or not, has fructose. Fructose (not just fructose in HFCS) is extremely toxic to the liver. There is some research that demonstrates that the fructose portion of sugar, or any sweetener containing fructose, is what is causng many diseases of modern civilization..
Awesome! My kids will love your version, I'm sure. Thanks!

What are your thoughts on organic Blue Agave as a sweetner? Also flavored stevia?

This obviously is not raw vegan since Nancy uses milk fresh from the farm. It would probably be just as good with almond milk.
