This Megatron put up a way better fight than Megatron did in ROTF. He's also a quicker thinker. That's what I hated about Michael Bay's interpretation of Megatron. He has had three tries to get the character just right and failed. Not to mention the fact that he can't seem to get the balance between Optimus and Megatron just right. That's probably why he made Optimus so overpowered in the second film to make up for the first film when really they are supposed to be equal.
