Flashing an Xbox 360 Hitachi v0078FK Drive tutorial Part 2

does this work for switching out the original drive? i had a samsung drive that the laser wont turn on, i replaced the laser and the same thing... had another console with hitachi drive (was getting RROD) i want to place the hitachi in my console the samsung drive was in.

the method is almost the same for all hitachis except the 79> to flash any hitachi except the 79 just click which drive and continue.

You can, but you need to know how to backup games. If you backup it wrong, you'll get banned pretty soon.

i know how, you use abgx to scan it.

but my drive is a Hitachi LG and the version is not 78. it says 0047DJ under the ROM VER. so what so i need to do differently to flash mine? or is it exact same as this video?

It's illegal too backup games for yourself and sell originals. :) So why not just start with downloading copied images from the piratebay then? :)

yeah you can, you would need to do that on either an update but 1.6 should be good for a while...and/or if you need to send your xbox to Microsoft (if its still under warranty)

All the software you need is still the same, but a newer version.

no its not, thats the 1.6 version which you need to play the wave 3 games that detect anything under 1.5 and 1.6...1.6 if the most recent version

ohh..well I don't use netflex I just stream videos from my computer to the xbox, but I doubt it would do anything, its only changing the firmware in the dvd rom and does nothing else to the dashboard

oh k i was a little confused on that part, because all the dashboards in the modded tutorials had the old 360 dashboard. is that just another hack or something? thanks for making this clear for me, i was only asking cuz i let my parents use my 360 and they would wonder what the hell happened to it if there was no netflix lol.

ohh no they wouldn't even notice...as far as I know..NOTHING changes but the firmware in the dvd rom so the xbox it self doesn't know its modded hahah...so modding it is very worth it but u'll need a few things

Okay noobs....yeah u can get banned if u run regular backups on your xbox 360 live account....it has 2 be burned as a DVD-R.. plus u need 2 know a very important thing...2 little special words....look up......

usually within your computer you will have more than one SATA cable connection, this is if you want to install an optinal drive for your computer, if your unsure, just follow the cable your current drive is hooked up to and for the love of god don't use that one, use another that looks the same and dosnt have a wire in it already,as for the earth cable, any cable will work, this is to prevent EMF from harming you, usually earth cables are yellow and green ones, this is not manditory,but sugested
