  • Yours is the first video I've seen on this subject. Great idea. I want to try it out. Thanks for sharing. Making this was a very good effort on your part - I wonder how many videos your critics have made? However, have to say that the music was jarring, more preparation would probably have resulted in more professional looking video but, hey, you did it and I may follow your example!

  • As soon as I heard the music, I disliked. Sorry.

  • @kbs1212 :o)

  • Like many other bad videos on this topic, the result would have been so much better of you were prepared.

  • Oh, and can you actually MIX different pigments? :D

  • Does anyone know any kinds of rubbing alcohol? I'm guessing you can't use stuff like acetone :/

  • @PoeticTragedy16 hahaha, i love your comebacks. lol

  • @daniellestrickland calm the f down! Your comment is the only irritating thing.

  • "Theres Glitter Everywhere Looks like someone killed Tinkerbell" xD

  • You act like this is rocket science it's not that hard. You keep saying "Jesus" and keep getting frustrated. You are are all over the place. It's is really irritating.

  • lol you killed tinkerbell

  • so you just use alcohol? no other mixing medium?

  • @themrprincessgg if you search into google mac pigment samples then it comes up with tons of websites that sell them

  • is that a sample pigment from mac? and if so were can i buy them? i cant afford a piment from mac for 18-19 dollars and i wouldnt use the whole thing hahaha! but i would buy a sample from them! so if u could tell me THANKS!

  • your supposed to press that eyeshadow in something hard like a hard cover book for one day.. just telling you

  • what is rubbing alcohol , how is it different from regular alcohol?

  • where did u get the tin?

  • i fail =[ i put tooo much

  • ~0h shit this is for eyeshadow? uggghhh I thought you were making art paint......

I was wondering why there were makeup vids on the side page------------->

  • @swiish79 Great Point! TRUE TRUE

  • lol 2:31 haha

  • wow.. this is the crappiest vid I've seen... you're camera is all over the place and can barely see what you're doing and I have my volume on max and can barely hear you.... this vid kinda made me mad

  • @gigilaifan turn up your volume then!!!!

  • lol 2:32

  • All the alcohol evaporates out.

  • @LoveGreenGaia and it makes the pigments hard.... <<<<< the point of it!!

  • That's a really difficult way of doing it, if you just mixed it in the pan you wouldn't of used half of that pigment lol.

  • You can buy the empty pans from ebay :)

    Hope this helps ! x

  • i have the same alclohol lolz... btw i subbed u (=

  • Won't the rubbing alchohal irritate your eyes? Like I know some people like me use their eyeshadows wet like won't that hurt my eyes?

  • the achohol hardens the eyeshadow so it sticks together, but it eventually evaporates so it duz not harm ur eye area

  • nope, the alchohol evaporates. xD

  • No, the alcohol actually sticks the eyeshadow together, then after evaporates, therefore it won't irritate your eyes :)

  • where do you buy the tin pan???

  • u can buy them in empty pallettes at coastal scents- they are the same size as mac's pans- i dont think you can buy just the empty pans by themselves on there though- but i could be wrong

  • Girl You should organize your supplies better .. and f.y.i. u cant press glitters and mattes ..

    Not good at all

  • Watch EnKoreMakeup hes better than this clutz!!!

  • Youre not supposed to press glitters and mattes

  • yes...a little clumsy...

  • HOW TO: press pigments haleybeen added her video january 3 of 09 not much difference

  • Informative, but not filmed very well. You need a steady camera!!!!

  • reat vid but i think it would have been easier if u remover the sifter if it was possible lol i subed

  • HAHA you are sooooo clumsy lol! :)

  • someone killed Tinkerbell lol :D

  • hah you're soo clumsy :P

  • lol why not just put it in the freezer for 10min

  • ok ya silly goose there is moisture in the freezer DUH

  • blow it in front of the fan. much faster.

  • i rated it 5 but on accident pressed 1 so srry bout that

do u let it dry 25 n then put in quarter

or put in quarter n then 25 let dry please answer thankz bye good- great job☺

  • woow great where did u get the palets

  • wow that is soo interesting...Nice...God Bless

  • i couldnt hear you i couldnt c yu yu didnt show us like anything really and yu need to really speak louder!

  • or you could just turn up the volume....

  • Hey thanks! I have a question though,... do you wait for the pigment to dry and then press it? or prpess it when its wet and then wait for it to dry??

  • cool It looks like a normal eyeshadow

  • its called easy press

  • I'm just starting out with Makeup so I don't know everything, so please do not be mean but isn't the point of a pigment for it to be loose?? If you're going to press it why would you not just by a shadow

  • because

1.) mac (or watever) may not sell the same shadow color pressed.

2.) you want to fill a pallette

3.) it has a cool finish

    hope this helped

  • i think pigments are so messy so u really cant travel with them

  • they're so pretty though:(so it kinda sucks if you don't press them

  • and pigments usually have alot of fallout. so this helps it a bit

  • some pigments don't come in shadows they only come loose like bareminerals... others like mac vanilla eyeshadow and the vanilla pigment are the same thing but pigments have a better color payoff hope this helped :)

  • you could use a toothpick instead of a bobbypin to mix so u can save ur hair accesories

  • Is there a substitution for the alcohol?

  • i use hair serum

  • is the bottle more alcohol ?

and why do you NEED a pressing pattern ? can't i jhust use a reg. like a cotton tshirt or soemthing ?

  • No one says you NEED a pressing pattern. It is just to make it out to look like a regular shadow. You know how a new shadow has a pattern on it before you start using it. Use any cotton you like. I know some people use ribbons that give a nice pattern.

  • It doesn't really matter what you press it with.

That's only if you want a pattern to come out on the surface.

If you don't care then you can like thake plastic wrap or jsut a piece of paper.

  • LOL! it looks like someone killed tinkerbell!

  • you took soo long just to do that

    lol

  • I think it is easier to mix inside of a plastic bag instead of a jar.

  • were do u get the pigment from???

  • MAC

  • lol. PLEEEEEASE be joking.

'Intrepid" is a pigment color from L'Oreal's HiP line.

  • @PoeticTragedy16 I do believe she said l'oreal hip pigment

  • @Katiescuzzbug Dude I posted this comment over a year ago. I don't really care.

  • @cocolips26 so... what? learn how to be specific.

  • @PoeticTragedy16 meaning pigments are fucking pigments.. grow up not everything has to be mac..it just a demo

  • @cocolips26 awww did baby get offended at a comment? lol relax, it's just the internet.

  • @PoeticTragedy16 if its just the internet then why are you obsessing over pigments and the only baby i see is the 21 yr old squirt of piss writing this comment to me..good day bitch!

  • @cocolips26 i think you're confused.. i wrote that comment over 2 yrs ago. I couldn't care less about pigments right now but yet you chose to bring up an old post? Mhm... btw "writing this comment to me" means you're referring to yourself. Lol good job with the name-calling though! You feel so tough on the internet, don't ya? HAHA

  • @PoeticTragedy 16 ok what ever you still give a damn or you wouldnt have writin me bck have a nice life and stop writing comments to me if you write one more it means you love me:)lol

  • @cocolips26 please... PLEASE buy a dictionary. I have no clue what you're trying to say.

  • @PoeticTragedy16 i tried to be nice to you last comment...but get this you retarded bitch STOP WRITING COMMENTS TO ME!!! you got it now???

  • @cocolips26 wah wah wah. someone call the WAHmbulance.

  • it's from L'Oreal. You can get it at any drugstore.

  • kewl, now I just have to travel all the way to london to get some lol

  • 0:02

  • What's the difference between pressed pigments and regular eyeshadow that already comes in the like eyeshadow powder form?

  • pressed pigments are easier to carry and depending on the look and the amount of experience, easier to use.

  • you can get spatuals for mixing the pigments

  • did u used hip pigment?

  • Comment removed

  • really easy!

  • is there any alternative to the alcohole?

  • can i use 99.9% alcohol?

  • I do have a head ache watching this video, but thanks for the advice. How long did you let it dry?

  • 20mins

  • would MAC's mixing medium do the same sort of job??!

  • yes,

  • okay so painful,okay....

okay it's always out of focus..

okay..why buy pigments when you're gonna press them, okay like why not just buy the pressed ones..okay....

okay, this gave me a headache.

  • you can't buy pressed pigments from MAC by themselves.

  • where do i find hetch mark? or is it hatch mark?

  • an easy thing to get the pattern on the top of your pressed pigment is a piece of ribbon! =]

    they make cute designs!

  • cud u use like detol insted of rubbing alcohol?

  • where do you buy the little eyeshadow palette ?

  • LOL>>>I love jesus

  • when you press a pigment is it any different than when its a loose powder or does it turn out exactly the same?

  • it looks the same, but its just easier to use pressed

  • what does the alcohol do?

  • it makes it all stick together but after it sets it evaporates away

  • i think its there to kill bacteria?

  • what else could you use to cover the quarter? I don't have a hetch mark pattern but i do have a lot of pigments that need to be pressed. please let me know! Thanks!

p.s. i have that pigment you were pressing in this video. it IS a gorgeous color!

  • Any type of cotton material will work. Examples: Any kind of old t-shirt, an old pillow case or old sheets.

  • Ooo thanks!

  • also i have heard you can use a piece of ribbon

  • you could just use a plastic bag!

  • "it looks like some body killed tinkerbell" ROFLMAO LOL HAHA HEHE!!!!!!

  • where did you get the empty pans?

  • somebody killed tinkerbell!!! rotfl!!!! this is cool im gona try it!

  • hiyah where can i get the pigment container for pressing it and also d alcohol?any idea on ebay?

    x

  • you can get the alcohol from ebay, and im positive you can also get the pans from there. but you can use the tins in palettes that you don't use. just scrape out the unwanted shadow.

  • is it possible to use sumthing else besides the alcohol?? possible to substitute it with something, if not then thats okay.. just wondering. lol thx

  • does the 1/4 tsp sample pigment fill in one pan when u press them ?

  • Lol Tinkerbell Is Dead!

    x]

  • Poor Tinker Bell LOL =P

  • how much of rubbing alcohol do you use?

  • no wonder tinkerbell is gone....she killed her!

  • I didn't know you could press glitter.

  • do u know where they sell that kind of pan u used to press

  • i hd a HIP pigment stick and i mashed it up and pressed it

  • aw your voice is so cute :)

  • where do you get the pans??

  • I'm probably missing something, but what is this colour/who is it by?

  • The pigment is by Loreal HIP - Intrepet(color)

  • It looks like somebody killed Tinkerbell!

    Ha ha ha! Brilliant!

  • does it pack very tightly because all my pressed pigments have broken on me, ive had to repress them or throw them out all together.

  • ok whats ur purpose of pressing pigments?

  • It tends to be less than the pigments, and also causes less fallout than a pigment when you apply them.

  • where can i get the pan????

  • thanx so much for making this video! I didnt know you could press the HIP pigments!!

  • what is in the bottle with the two orange labels and the blue top?

  • wat did u put it in and where did u get it from

  • thanks so much on how that how to

  • i have that same pigment, is it HIP?

  • That was really awesome.I finally know how to press a pigment! Tehe, somebody killed tinkerbell!

  • i just pressed the exact same pigment! i LOVE it!

  • coastal scents

  • Looks like somebody killes tinkerbell LOL =)

    girl you made me laugh

  • i agree wit the person below me, doesnt the alcohol damage ur eyes? isnt it bad?

  • wit? Lol... I love typo's <3.

  • lol "Woah! Jesus!" this was helpful! :)

  • when u put the eyeshadow onto ur eyes, doznt the rubbing alcohol like damage ur eyes?

  • the alcohol vaporates.

  • where'd you get the empty pan??

  • hey where do you get the hetch mark paper, and what did you use for the pan??

    awsome video.

  • I used an old plaid skirt, and I used an E.L.F. e/s pan.

  • is the pigment you're using by mac? thanks

  • Loreal HIP Intrepid

  • Hi. Are you happy with how the Intrepid came out as far as wearability? I have that pigment and it's so irridescent that I wondered what would happen if it was pressed. It looks so green in your pan..and it's really a brown with green shimmer/glitter.. it's a really really cool color. A bit dark for me, but I love it anyway.. :)

did it separate or anything when adding the alcohol? or melt? Thanks for the video.. I can't find hardly anyone who has this pigment!

  • I like the Interpid better pressed. You can control the amount you use a lot better. And the best part is it's not as dark.

  • Awesome!! Thanks so much!

  • I love your videos but this isn't a very good one. You don't explain half the stuff you use and the picture quality is total crap. I'm sorry, I love your videos but this is not good. I mean no offense. But I wish you would redo this video, maybe with a bit more planning.

  • great vid

  • i know this sounds extremely dumb, but like whats the point of pressing pigments? is it so it is more hard and thicker like eyeshadow instead of loose?

  • It's more convenient to press them. You can store them in a smaller space.

  • You're exactly right! It also helps to make the pigment easier to apply and more pigmented.

  • oh okay thanks! :)

  • haha i had the same question.

  • very awesome

  • whats a hetch mark pattern, and what is it's purpose?

  • 5.13 - 5.18 LOOOL!

    Great vid xx

  • Great video,

  • isnt the alcohol bad for ur eyes?

  • alcohol evaporates...the higher the percentage, the faster it evaporates
