  • i dont care. we butcher pigs here every fiesta. i love me some roast pig. LETCHON FTW!

  • L00000L

  • Altans kinda of right

  • Not some PETA lover here, as I'm all for eating as much pork (and all other meat) as possible, but I have to say I was not ready for the heads like that when they lifted the top, LoL.

  • Ha ha! "The Chairman hand-picked these particular sucklings from family farms in Pennsylvania," says Alton at 5:16.

What a liar! The "Chairman" is a fuckin' actor! He didn't travel to rural Pennsylvania to purchase piglets.

He should have said he got them from a neighboring village after huffing and puffing and blowing their houses down.

  • 0.38 episode?! lol.

  • Dude is that discusting?

  • LMFAO POOR PIGS

  • when you see them with their jackets and the way they stand and pose to the camera they kinda remind you of power rangers don't they?

  • @gigacooler the shows originally from japan so thats where it comes from. the "power ranger pose" is a very regular sight on tv over there

  • I watched a piglet battle before. Isn't suckling pig the same ingredient?

  • Yum! Suckling pig is just the best.

Also, I agree if you eat meat and can't see the dead animal then you shouldn't eat meat. You need to know where your food comes from!

  • I don't hate watching butchers cut a hunk of meat, I hate watching Bobby Flay butcher the art of cooking.

  • I like Symon's reaction to the secret ingredient. He's like "oh yeah, plenty of stuff to work with". I mean, pork is the most versatile meat; just imagine what a master chef can do with those critters.

  • did they need that many pigs? Most other secret ingredients get used up totally from what i rememebr

  • @goibee no, they barely ever get used up. the rest get either saved for future episodes or discarded and sold to pig farms as slop.

  • Oh my god another guy from the next Iron Chef show. This guy was on this season's show

  • the lids were taken off that's why they look scary.. my family raised pigs before and it's already common for them to got to the market or be roasted whole.. it's just the eyes freaking you out.. if you eat meat then shut up..!

  • If you eat meat, fish and anything that was alive but refuse to look at it just because its almost whole after they're already slaughtered then you should become a vegetarian or vegan even. And after that never ever watch any cooking shows. Too bad due to time constrains, they can't do an entire roasted suckling pig; that would taste awesome!

  • 4:12 Michael Symon can't wait to get his hands on that suckling pig!

  • Those pig eyes are scary...

  • Man, those eyes... They stare...

  • I've actually been to both of Appleman's restaurants they're soooo yummy!

  • I like this show a lot but does anyone else wanna punch the chairman in the face?

  • @chasington89 The chairman is an actor paid to act like that, he isn't really that crazy

  • This is cruel. :(

  • I am aware of the hypocrisy of meat eaters complaining about animal rights, however I just think the way the corpses were heaped up basically as decoration was pretty disrespectful to the living creatures that gave their lives for human consumption. As an ingredient I don't have a problem it's just a basic lack of respect that is quite confronting here

  • @3axim

If a lion hunted you down for a meal, do you think he'd care about displaying your body in a respectful way. If a deer bucked your ass do you think he'd think to himself, hmmm, let me do it a little to the right so as to not make this experience even more uncomfortable. The lion, the deer or the cute cuddly baby bunny would tear into your behind with as much verociousness as they could muster. We as human display food in a way that is pleasing to our eyes, then to our mouths.

  • @3axim If a lion hunted you down do you think he'd care about eating your ass a certain way because it would be disrespectful to your corpse. UH, no I think not!!!

The fact of the matter is that we as humans eat with our eyes first, then with our mouths. Most of us are carnivorous by nature, so it is that instict that tell us to lay our prey down in such a way that looks both succulent and tasty to us.

No animal who would come after you would care about your bleeding heart ways.

  • @MsONatural Were not talking about lions right here, were able to make a difference, but all we do is boil whole pigs!? Let me just tell you that people are sick!

  • @3axim

Well to be realistic, they did not give their lives.

    We took them.

If it made it taste better, I could care less about dignity of an already dead beast.

  • why is every video i watch is a vs simon video?

  • Geez they should have GIVEN the battle to Michael Symon.

  • i agree with some commenters, the pigs eyes seemed a little freaky. Like they were open for a reason. lol. Anyway this was an interesting secret ingredient since there are so many different cuts of meat they could use, giving more variety and choice to the chefs on what they wanted to make

  • when i saw the pigs...i thought i was going to cry...those poor babies.

    : ' [

  • @MsJup1ter

No wonder why you made such a ridiculous comment. How old are you? You've got nothing but a bunch of cartoons on your page. Let's face it honey, if it came down to you and eating a baby pig, goat, lamb, sheep or chicken. You'd eat in hands down. You'd hunt it down, baby or not and kill it and take pleasure in it as you ate it. Grow up, as long as you are treating animals with dignity and respect, with as less pain as possible, then I say eat on within moderation.

  • u guyz r bein ridiculous that was nothin i thought it was gonna be worst than that, they hardly showed anything

  • win did they stop putting the statistics of the Iron Chef and Challenger up?

  • "let the BATTLE BEGIN"

  • i've seen piggies slaughtered before...absolutely awful to see any animal slaughtered...but i have to say i do like the taste of meat. i just wish we could kill them as humanely as possible...and i have to agree with a previous commentor...piggies remind me of digs too...goats more so. whaaaaa!!!! i'm so sad!

  • No pigs were harmed in theoohh nevermind

  • i do admit that this episode make me a little green...buut.....u gotta eat

  • cool stuff

  • Jesus christ, seeing the pigs made me lose my apetite. Blargh.................... That is the most creepiest i've seen in Iron Chef America.

  • which part is the trotter?

  • @TheMrpalid the trotter is the foot portion of the pig

  • how old are these to be called suckling pigs?

  • I've met some piglets, and they remind me of dogs... so, I don't want to eat them now.

  • it's just kind of creepy 'cause the pig's eyes are wide open..

  • Doesn't really look like a suckling pig...this is coming from an American living in the pork capitol of South America.

  • I enjoy watching new food that i havent tasted being made. Everyone has the right to eat what they want. Some people just lik to start over stupid things. Y watch if u are agaisnt it?

  • In this day and age, we just like out fore fathers eat meat and vegetables. Suckling pigs are very often cooked over a spit, and are served for special occasions, usually feasts for celebrations. I am personally not a fan of pork but I heard great things about suckling pig.

To those of you who are against eating meat, well, that's your choice, but don't get in other people's faces because they like meat.

  • Such disrespect for our ancestors who found ways to feed themselves and their descendants by domesticating pigs and other livestock to go along with plants to create an array of options for our nutrition.

It just goes to show that we have grown loathsome of ourselves and have put the welfare of livestock over humans. Perhaps we have become too criminal to stand ourselves, eh?

  • those baby pigs looks fake..LOL..quit being peta here people...they're actually tasty..

  • poor pigs :(

  • i disagree with the inhumane comments. i love seeing a talented butcher breakdown a piece of meat. plus who doesn't love pork ;)

  • @ThreadbareTapestry I think jews don't like pork... I love it though. Meat is murder. Tasty Tasty Murder.

  • @WafersAreGreat You're so wrong. Jews same as Muslims love pork; they're just not allowed to eat it due to religious beliefs. I know of some who have eaten pork and expressed openly their love of the meat. A few others I've seen will go to a restaurant and request for private rooms and order pork dishes. They of course will never admit to have eaten pork; not even to their own family.

  • @ThreadbareTapestry I agree! The comments about "killing" animals wouldnt be here if they where over run with them!! EAT MEAT!!!

  • @ThreadbareTapestry I HATE pork. But you're right, if we cant eat them, what the hell are animals on the planet for?!?

  • @AlexNuchiha nah u love pork unless u have tried the 48,34532 different ways to cook pork u cant say this sry i know Mexicans who will make pork your favorite food XD

  • @TheDarceChoke You're probably right... but I haven't had it since I was six, so I would probably get REALLY sick.

Oh, and I'M ALL FOR MEXICAN FOOD!!!XD

  • @ThreadbareTapestry ive never had pork

  • Thanks for uploading these...I love watching them. After just reading these comments though...I don't think I can watch this one!

  • mmm kat kora

  • I just love Chef Appleman's Sous Chef, Jane Tseng at 5:54. She is so beautiful. I recordrd this episode from The Food Network a long time ago and I just love seeing her in it. She is so amazing. She had a hard time cooking those blue or purple strips she was preparing, but she did good.

  • @agentbl yeah, but she struggled and really hurt her team

  • @agentbl Don't lie, you really have the hots for Lysa don't you? Sure, Jane looks like she gives a good sukki fukki, but Lysa'a got boobs in all the wrong places... or in your case, the right places. You dream of eating cottage cheese out of her dimples, don't you? You wish that it was you she were kneading instead of that ricotta cheese and egg mixture, isn't that true?

  • @GothChilde6969 Sorry my friend, but you are VERY VERY WRONG! I don't like Liza, the other sous chef. I like Jane Tseng. Liza is not very attractive to me. Jane is the gorgeous one. Thank you :)

  • @agentbl Don't lie! You are just diverting your feelings to appeal to the "IN" crowd of shallow people spawned by todays media and fashion gurus. CLEARLY this is a case of a Freudian acceptance struggle; wherein you are trying to hide feelings that others would deem "wrong" or "immoral." Let me be among those to congratulate you on your taste in portly or "rotund" women. Judging by hose hips, childbirth would not hurt her. She would make a fine breeding female. You should be happy! REJOICE!11!!

  • @GothChilde6969 What the hell is wrong with you? I'm not lying, you idiot. I don't give a shit about the "IN" crowd. I've never tried fitting in with anyone. That's not my style. And what the hell do you mean by "rotund" women. What do I need to rejoice about? As I said before, To me, Jane Tseng is more attractive than the other sous chef Liza. Plain and simple. And whta the hell is thing you're talking about breeding female? What kind of shit are you talking about?

  • @agentbl I am talking about the love of your life, Liza! Duh! Rejoice in the fact that it is okay to bump uglies with the XXL section of the women's clothing department! I suggest you make yourself known to her by buying her a mumu, or in laid-woman's terms "a piece of cloth you wear if you're fat." And seriously? You don't understand breeding female? I thought you young hip-hopper rap fanatics were all about "dem ho's" with all the "junk in tha trunk" and your record players blastin' dem tupacs

  • @GothChilde6969 Dude, why must you argue with me about this? For the last time, I LIKE JANE TSENG! PERIOD! And as for your comment about being a young rap hip hopper fanatic, I am 34 years old. Yes I do like rap music, but not today's rap music. I'm old school. I like the rap music from the 90s and early 2000s. Oh and I don't like women with "junk in their trunks." And I never refer to women as "dem ho's." I have too much respect for women to label them any kind of hoe. Mama raised me right.

  • @agentbl LMAO looks like someone has a hard time understanding sarcasm!

  • @agentbl That is fucking creepy, dude.

  • I'd be saying to Mike Simon "what the fuck are you laughing at? That shit is inhumane." I mean that it's inhumane that those pigs had to be cut up like that. Don't get me wrong, I love Iron Chef America and I love this episode. I have it on DVD and I look at it alot. But I just feel sorry for those pigs. I'm not down with PETA or anything. I just feel sorry for those poor pigs. The way Chef Appleman cracks that pig's leg at 4:54 just makes me cringe. It rattles my nerves very much.

  • @agentbl I'm sorry, but you do realize that the pigs are dead already, right?

  • haha I love Alton's quotes, hes so cool! And omg Appleman was on the show before the Next Iron Chef!

  • I so love this show, serious!

  • "LET'S GET HAPPY!"

... Does anyone else want to see Mark Dacascos or Takeshi Kaga roar this as a battle cry?

  • whoa, scary piggy eyes

  • OMG!!! the challenger is on the Next Iron Chef America show right now!!! Wow :O he wants to join the show!!

  • I want him to win, I love his style of cooking as well as his attitude

I could be in a room with 3 chefs just to talk culinary arts, it would be chefs Appleman, Symon, and Morimoto

  • thx so much for posting this!!!!

  • scary little piggy eyes! LOL

  • the pigs got scary eyes

  • Allez Cuisine!

  • how did they get a new iron chefXD

  • this was probably the most disturbing secret ingredient theyve had (i was eating just when the chairman revealed the secret ingredient -.-)

  • SUCKLINNGG PIG!

  • I want a piece of appleman :D

  • Comment removed

  • I love the air-cutting sounds they add in whenever the Chairman moves his head.

  • Gordon Ramsay should be in iron chef

  • Hell YES. That would be awesome. Something tells me that he'd consider himself "above" Iron Chef. He's shown disdain for the Food Network in the past. Too bad Mario Batali isn't on the show anymore; I'd love to see the two of them face off. Apparently, they had each other, lol.

  • Excuse me, HATE each other.

  • they were trained by the same chef

  • Seriously???

  • those piggy's eyes scare me :( :(

  • me too. really creepy.

  • I believe those eyes are that way for a reason... fear probably

  • Symon is my favorite he is probably the least known out the iron chef but might be the best. and the reason he didn't challenge batali because he had already left by this episode

  • that was some skills at cuting the pig

  • Chef Aquaman?

  • Jane Tseng's pretty cute.

  • Totally agree.

  • What a puss. He should have challenged Batali.

  • thanks for uploading:)

    -.- the pigs looks creepy,

  • I want to see the Iron Chef America Battle Breakfast.

  • This is the new Iron Chef America episode that I nevered watched. So I want to that new episode.
