Im hella getting into the cybergoth fashion & techno/electric music. It is turning into passion. And I really, strongly wish too DJ like this at places.
Also out of all the mixes you have, this techno one is the best. Its got good flow, good track selection and the mixing is good. Personally I think you should stick to Techno, you're doing really well so far. Good luck and keep buying good Techno records!
For only 6 months you do pretty well. Like mentioned earlier, practice will get your skills up to par. Its good you play around with other genres because that really helps your beatmatching, since the bpm's are different. I myself used to spin a lot of breaks and D&B which helped my beatmatching.
i have to admit, if youve only been mixing for six months this is brilliant, your third tune was beat matched but brought in on the wrong bar so (to the trained ear) it sounds a bit off, but nobody would notice, great, you;ll be fucking brilliant in no time if you keep practising every night, i got tight at mixing by spending hours everyday, it all falls into place after a while, other peoples opinions are useless as its ALL about your own style, which youre WELL on your way to getting, bravo
Believe me i try to get better, but it's difficult because where I live the electronic scene is near zero... in a city of 150000 people there is only one small little club to listen techno, very small, here is the city of reaggetonn... shit man. It's good to have everything, but as i tell, to have EVERYTHING so hopefully the electronic scene is growing more and more.
Simple answer to that: start a night. It's not hard at all, some flyers, some enthusiasm and some fun, and off you go. Nothing starts itself, it takes a dedicated mind to get it up and running, get on it lad!
i wouldnt say its proper bangin techno more like a house/techno cross. proper techno is stuff at 150+ bpm. its more difficult to mix as ur constrained by the tune layout whereas house due to there being no real up and downs u can mix at virtually every 32 or 64. imo its music that crap djs play in clubs all around the uk when theres amazing talent out there, much better talent not in the mainstream
the 3 deck mix is the fav of mine what u have uploaded but as i said its only beatmatching i find 3 dex makia mixing the most explosive and exciting, the djis constntly chaning records and mving from deck to deck. its a faster skill
i dont undersand when a dj is there and the tunes are clearly going out of pitch he/she will keep pushing or pulling the record to compensate but never just move the pitch itself so u dont have to touch the deck. its a pointless exercise and a waste of time as u could have a perfect mix if u done it properly
thats what i do but sometimes i don't think its offbeat for the pitch, so that's why sometimes i just push it a bit... man don't be that cruel. i would like to see your video to compare, obviously I'm not as good as you but...
i wasnt being harsh on your. it was just a general observation when watching people djing.
personally im critical of house music as i find it boring, nothing really happens, thers no real kick or feeling to the tunes, just a plain beat and some weak melody. trendy shoe shop music. u get let urself go to this sort of stuff. its ok to mi if ur bored and cant handle some hard stuff
i agree with that, house music tends to be boring for mixing, maybe for relaxing moments... but you can have a watch to my other videos like the schranz one, it's harder and stronger, also bit difficult for me. Anyway i don't consider this video house music, it's techno... i hope.
youre listening to the wrong stuff, and i havent read all your comments but this stuff is AS detached from house music as it gets, listen to pure science or eddie richards, thats real house
you definately have some skills bro. nice selection of tunes and the first really just starts out of the gate with rage and fury a very nice way to start :)
Rockin, The second from last mix you know the beat was going off so you threw it out, nice move!, this shows me you know what you are doing! Good flowing mix!, loving the first record. all the best johnathan
Thank's man, i'm happy that it's not that bad i was thinking it was. One thing amazing is that a lot of people uses the crossfader for mixing... few people like us using the faders
im glad you know techno aint all dance music

135 bpm ? That's good, techno is mixed at 140bpm but slower than 140 give an other size .... 150 is a lot

nice music
one tip to get your video and audio sync;
if you begin to mix, clap in your hands, so when you edit the music and video will be sync in a minute
(just find the point where you can here on the audio the clap and the point where your hands are together in de video)
