  • Great songs! You've got Melissa Manchester with "Don't Cry Out Loud" and Peter Brown's "Dance with Me" and many others. Good stuff. Again, my compliments to you for the hard work you did on these! I guess it'd help it I listened to the years in order! LOL Oh! I hear "Love is Like Oxygen"...wow! Good Stuff! Thanks again!

  • @Beautifulmusiclistnr Thank you, and you're welcome. Enjoy!!

  • This was the year my best buddy, my best friend and my brother passed away from a motorcycle accident. He was a only 18 and great guy with a great future ahead of him and loved all music from this year. Here's to you Ricky Cormier. Love you and miss you always and forever. Vicky

  • I have th further recommend Gino Vannelli and Chris Rea. They continued to make great tunes for decades. Only a few hits, but two terrific artists.

  • Wow thanks for this video! I forgot how many great songs there were from '78 :-)

  • @jodisweetie You're welcome.. =]

  • I graduated High School "Class of '78"...so this is the soundtrack of my Grad Year...and so many other people's Senior Year, as well. Every song takes me right back to that special time in my life. I can remember standing in line, waiting to march into our Graduation Exercises, with Bonnie Tyler's "It's A Heartache" playing in my head. How I miss those years.

  • all i can say is "wow". not a big fan of most of these artists, but i was eight when all these songs came out and i can remember hearing all of them on my am/fm clock radio. that was my only musical input back then, except for the radio in my dad's car which was usually playing "the hits" as well.

    thanks for the rewind MG.

  • @ezernut9mm you bet :]

  • This had to be a bear! I mean...you included a LOT of the big hits...and had to leave a lot out! As an ex-DJ, I appreciate the work you put into this, and, the heartbreak of not being able to include everything!

  • @tew8197 I completely agree, Tim. When limited to 15 minutes and 15-20 seconds/song, it really takes a toll. I did my best to include the most popular hits.

  • Love this mix

I have listened to it over and over. I was just a kid on '78, but it was was one the most memorable and great years of my life.

  • @Kristnbelle It delights me that these songs are doing their job.. :)

  • Well done Manic!! I was called up for Military Service in 78 and these songs bring back basics like it was yesterday.

  • @nickkdx200 Glad they're doing their job.. :)

  • Scary good

  • Very nice, in a lot of different ways. Thanks for all the work, I really appreciate it.

  • @61head You're welcome! It was a labor of love. :)

  • 1978 is probably my favorite year for music.

  • Nice only should have the songs run 20seconds at least not 10secs!

  • @Tetra7771 Sorry.. yes, I could have made each segment 20 seconds, and in the 15 minutes I was allowed I would have included 45 songs. Instead, I chose to have shorter segments and include 65 songs. I thought it worked well.. it was a LOT of work.

  • This is great! Thanks. Brings back so many great memories.

  • @snowcloud I'm glad you liked! =]

  • Awesome! Thank you for this awesome medley of musical memories! I appreciate it so very much.

  • @rin3guy You're so welcome! :o)
