  • when Justin sang forever Autumn...he did such a beautiful job...it's such a beautiful song... I cried through the whole song...it reminded me so much of mum...i hope he's there this christmas also...i may go visit manchester where my dad's folks were from...

  • I don't like Justin playing second fiddle; he's too good for it, what can I say...

  • Justins as more handsome and even grander; however, I missed John Lodge! Wasn't he invited? ~ Janet

  • JUSTIN HAYWARD IS A FABULOUS MUSICIAN AND IS STILL VERY HANDSOME TO HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL SINCE THE CRAZIEST TIMES OF THE ROCK. GREETINGS FROM MEXICO.

  • I would've killed to be there. Bruce Dickinson is my favorite singer, and Jerusalem is my favorite song of his.

As a non-Bruce fan (you said you were unfamiliar with his work, yes?), how did you feel about his performance of Jerusalem? I'm just curious from your perspective. :)

  • Thank you Annette059, I am still speechless after this gig, it went way beyond anything I expected so it's just fantastic to relive the experience via your videos.

  • OMG this is heaven thank you! Bruce, Justin OMG please someone get me a doctor! Thank you for putting this up it is fantastic beyond words. I really love seeing Justin amused with the whole situation. Just love Bruce's big voice! My favorite men together, no words to express my excitement!! Thank you!

  • this is fantastic! where are your boots Ian? ...used to love them back in the 60s as much as your flute... Bruce is having a blast! brilliant performance! as for you my dear Justin Hayward...sigh...thank you for over 45 years of talent and beauty, you re the total package lad...a fan since 1967.Wish you a Merry Christmas Annette, thanks for the upload!

  • @kloudzjia Ian's boots went a very long time ago as did the long coat LOL. Ian has been doing these Christmas concerts for a few years now and likes to invite guests like this.

  • @Ash1955 thanks!;-)) Have a Merry Christmas!

  • A bit disorienting at first not seeing Justin up front and showcased as is usual; not sure how much I like him having to hold back and give the others their time in the spotlight. LOL

  • FABULOUS

  • great videos! Thanks so much. We would have nothing from this very historic night had you not recorded it. Thanks!

  • Oh my goodness, I love this!!!!! Not only Justin Hayward, but Ian Anderson too? This is terrific! Thank you sooooooooo much for taking this video & sharing with us! I love both of those guys!

  • Will some form of this be on iTunes at least or a DVD? Please tell me yes. Would like to see more of these 'supergroup' combinations, they are a fun, fresh look at these guys' music.

  • i'm very happy for you ;-). Bruce is like a fine wine: he gets better with age. And that is true. I think he is immortal.

  • @Fredbluevest I agree. His voice last night was perhaps the best it's ever been, and I certainly think he keeps getting better with age.

  • @IndigoNeutrino did bruce play all Revelations song or only a piece ( an excerpt of the song, i hope you'll understand what i mean).

  • @Fredbluevest He sang the hymn version by G K Chesterton. The opening is the same as the Iron Maiden version but the rest of it is traditional church music. Do a search for 'Bruce Dickinson Canterbury' and one of the videos that comes up is Bruce singing the second verse of it :)

  • @IndigoNeutrino thanks!

  • Bruce looking lovely what a trio! Got any more! Thanks for posting!

  • A shirt signed by Captain Bruce? Wow,amazing. He is a great man,and his voice is unbelievable depsite all these years. Thanks a lot. Did Ian play songs from Jethro Tull albums? :-)

  • @Fredbluevest He did Aqualung towards the end, but most of his set was adaptations of classical music. There were a couple of other Jethro Tull songs, but I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with JT to name them :( Sorry!

  • @IndigoNeutrino never mind, i spent all day to find the songs that Bruce played and i found them because of you. Thanks ;-). I hope Maiden will go on tour in 2012. Sorry for my bad english ;-)...

  • @Fredbluevest You're very welcome! Glad I could be of help. I'm hoping Maiden tour in 2012 too, but I got to see them in Sheffield earlier this year so I think they may take a year's break from touring before they do Europe again. You seen them live before?

  • @IndigoNeutrino i saw them in Italy ( in Villa Manin, that is a very beautiful place) in august one year ago and they were awesome.Unfortunately i haven't seen them this year because of a lot of problems, but luckily i saw other amazing artists like paul mccartney, deep purple (in the Verona Arena) and Roger Waters.

  • @Fredbluevest There are a lot of voices about Maiden's 2012 tour, like a tour based on from fear to eternity or tour based on maiden england (so a tour based on 7th son). The most important thing is see them again.

  • @Fredbluevest It would be wonderful if they did a tour based on that! I really want to see them again, but for now having got to see Bruce perform Jerusalem will keep me happy.

  • @IndigoNeutrino and you have a shirt signed by Bruce Bruce too, fantastic ! i hope that will be posted a video of bruce dickinson's jerusalem in Canterbury because it's a beautiful song. And i think that the location of the concert was amazing!

  • @Fredbluevest I'm really hoping someone posts a video of it too. When I first heard Bruce would be performing in the Cathedral 'Jerusalem' was the first song I thought of which I knew would be perfect for him to sing. The location was perfect for it and he sang it with so much passion - 10 X better than the Sao Paolo live version, and that's saying something!

  • @Fredbluevest I live in Canterbury and I've always loved the Cathedral, but last night was just something extra-special. Brilliant acoustics and a magical atmosphere. Plus, it was really interesting when they used the organ for a 'shred-metal' version of Bach's Toccata and Fugue. I'm hoping someone posts that too.

  • A night I'm gonna remember for the rest of my life. The evening was beyond incredible - Bruce just has the most phenomenal voice and Ian Anderson's flute playing was out of this world!

  • @IndigoNeutrino what did bruce play ? Please answer....

  • @Fredbluevest He did a traditional version of 'Revelations' as well as 'Jerusalem' from his solo album Chemical Wedding, plus joining in with Ian and Justin for 'Locomotive Breath'.

  • @IndigoNeutrino thanks a lot ! You're great. Wow, jerusalem is one of the best song of bruce' solo albums.

  • @Fredbluevest Yes, it's one of my favourites and I thought I'd never get to see it live! I feel so privileged to have been there. Very much hoping someone managed to record it.

  • @IndigoNeutrino i'll see Ian Anderson in Italy on 22 December . He's incredible, Jethro Tull are amazing. And Maiden (and Bruce) are amazing too. You were very lucky ;-) !!!

  • @Fredbluevest Yes, I got to meet Bruce and he signed my shirt :D Most amazing experience ever! I feel very lucky. Hope you have a great time seeing Ian Anderson on the 22nd because he is incredible and and you're in for a treat!

  • i hope you realize you have given me one of my most cherished gifts of the season!! i So wish i could have been there.... you made it possible to experience this beauty!! Thanks!! Best to you Always! ... xoxodidi

  • @didi5387 It was a pleasure to share, and a real treat to be there...

  • please annette could you tell me what was the setlist? Please...

  • @Fredbluevest I can only tell you which Justin H songs were played - 'Forever Autumn' and 'Nights'. I'm not familiar with either Bruce D or Ian A songs. Look up the appropriate thread on the Moody's fan website TER - there is a full discussion of all the songs, poems and readings there. Hope that helps. Annette

  • @Annette059 thank you so much for sharing with us these precious moments!! : ))
