Search for Quenia Ribeiro. She's MUCH better and does the real thing. She also explains that there are variations in samba from different places in Brazil (ie. Rio vs. Bahia etc.). Though I'm from Rio, I dance more of the Bahia style since that's where my teacher was from. hehe

I don't pretend teaching anything to anyone, but I learned to dance samba with a Brazilian teacher, and that's why I can tell that that these videos are very bad. Just compare videos on youtube from Brazilians dancers and these : OPEN YOUR EYES !

This is not dancing : she doesn't move her hips, her legs are always folded, her arms have no expression, her bust is not right, her shoulders don't move, she has no grace, she's simply horrible ! And what is revolting is reading that some people find she is good, but it's because they don't know anything about samba.

Learn brazilians samba it's easy, but you should come to brazil in carnival, because this videos are really bad, and she doesn't know how to dance correctly. I know how to dance, and i know it is not like that.

I didn't say that women don't dance the male samba step, but I was taught by professional brazilian dancers in Brazil and abroad both male and female ones... there is a step more for women wher the accent is towards the back and not the heel to the front... but all samba is good i love all the steps...

yes samba can be confusing but if u keep on practicing u will get better in no time, if I were u I would travel to Brazil and try to find lessons, I heard the teach really good there.

its the basic step of samba...Maybe its more American style but I can see similaritys. But I haven't seen her other videos but I'm sure they r really horrible..
