I actually find the 1968 contest a bit disappointing after the strength of the previous three years. The Finnish entry is quite nice, and the German entry is great fun, but it is the French entry that is for me easily the best song (despite the rather alarming subject matter).

France (wonderful!) , Ireland (beautiful!), Italy (beautiful!), UK (extremely catchy - great classic), Sweden (great and very contemporary pop song), Switzerland (lovely!), Monaco (very pleasant), Yugoslavia (catchy), Germany (fresh), Spain (lost for words?), Belgium (nice), Austria (nice, but a bit depressing), Finland (nothing special), Netherlands (uninspired), Norway (headbanger?), Luxembourg (ridiculous song & performance), Portugal (horrible)
