Why are they asking for he's autograf? Haven't they listend to his music? Read his lyrics? He doesn't think that you should worship famous people.. I think it's kind of an insult that they ask for his autograf and filming him. Ofcourse you can appriciate his music and like what he is doing and you can do that about other musicians aswell but don't worship them "they are just people", "you're just people" ;)
But on the other hand, he's still talking about MTV-fucking-Cribs, he's using the extreme idol-worshipping of mainstream media ant entertainment as a waya to describe how fucking sick tha kind of world is. Remember that he can still leave hiw apartment, walk to the store, buy some milke, and come back without a single paparazzi, and not a single request for an autograph, why? Because he is a musician, sure, a popular and good one, but still a musician, and only his fans know who he is.
well... they came out to the audience after the show just to give autographes, take pictures and talk to the fans. u shouldnt take that too serious, they loved to be with the fans and they seemed to have a good time, they where funny and laughing. and honestly.. i dont have a gildenlöw shrine at home at which im praying at before i go to sleep... i had the chance to get an autograph and it is a nice thing to remember... im allright with that.
You misinterpreted my post, I'm a great fan of Daniel Gildenlöw, but I wanted to point out the he, just like most other celebrities within the more underground genres, like metal or in this case, progressive rock, is only well-known within that "zone", I mean, if you compare him with a pop-celeb you realise that he's a nobody in most peoples' eyes, and he's good with that, since he's out to make music for people that appreciate it, not just to become famous and live in a big house.
Ahum.... That´s how the genre Progressive was born ;) Jazz/Funk/Blues whatever, those are also non-commercial genres. But there wasn't a particular genre for Metal/Rock/Ballads/Unique bands like: Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, PoS. Now allong with other things ;) Progressive music is the music that doesn't go commercial (but allows you to play heavy music) they just want to make unique music which can be heard and loved by people who understand music.
