  • if i get one I am going to tent the windows and change the batteries to 12vlt lithium batteries

  • this car is for faggots.....XD

  • @deeznutz713 HA! You don't know wtf you're sayin, fuckin fail

  • Hey, Rob! Nice to have reconnected with you. Love your new wheels! I had one of the first Honda Insights in Seattle, and had a ball driving it (but my wife thought it was dangerously small - oh well!)

  • Just bought ZENN stock for $4.30. Here's hoping the company makes money, but also great to support the technology.

  • I was originally impressed with this technology but when I compared it to my scooter I recently purchased, ZENN needs a lot of work. I understand the intial cost will come down and its to pay for R n D but at 35MPH top speed it's fairly weak. What's the torque / acceleration at? I'm not expecting super fast acceleration but seriously, my scoot is generally traveling at 35-60mph n I believe it needs more umph for the hills so comparing to this, My bike wins hands down.

  • 25-35 mph...hahahahaha

  • i like electric cars but this one is CRAP i could do better 20 years ago with lead acid batteries! my electric bike goes faster without even peddeling! its such a shame cause people see this and it re enforces un founded steriotypes. the most annoying thing is for years car companys have said they are just wating on decent batterys but the ev1 worked fine over a decade ago and something like the tesla rodster will out perform many of its internal combustion rivles.

  • Did anyone else notice that during the test drive, the ZENN almost went as fast as the bicycle riding about 50 feet ahead of it? Look, I like the idea of new, alternative vehicles, etal...but this thing ain't it. Especially starting at $16k.

  • Is there enough room to carry 2 people and 2 sets of golf clubs? At a blazing top end of 25 mph, replacing the Cushman's at my local golf course is the ZENN's most likely market.

  • I really love electric cars but the ZENN is surely not one of these. It is simly too slow. Even for an neighborhood car it should have a top speed of at least 35 mph. The Th!nk city is a real usable e-car. But not this one.

  • The ZENN is allowed to go 35 mph in the state of washington.

  • COOL

  • If the japs out did the yankees in car technology can the canucks out do the japs now? Japs/AZNs can boast they maker faster cars but they also GUZZLE GAS and DESTROY our envirement all becuase of greedy- selfish AZNs.

  • eh they are part of the future but that car seems to be more of a shut the people up since it doesn't go all that fast...now if you take a look at "who killed the electric car" you will notice that goes much faster and was built earlier than this one...its a disappointment for me seeing there are more higher speed roads where i live because we are a little further into the country...

  • Question for robgreenlee : if I drive a Zenn in a colder climate, how long will it take to "pre-heat", like I usually warm-up a normal car out in the snow before it is ready to be driven ?

  • There is no delay on the preheat, the energy story simply gets insulated for the colder weather.

  • give us more speed and more range otherwise cute car;if the gas will go to $10/gal after bush hunta invade Iran i may consider this car

  • its a gold cart.

  • It only goes 40km/hr!!

  • He almost caught the guy in the bike... :D

Anyway, looks like a great car to be in the city and go to work in..

  • Why can't I drive these in Ontario!!?

  • what a great car! i got a test drive from the manager of the store of MCEV in Seattle, and it was a great car, but im only 14 so i cant actually drive. very roomy and quiet, and its very small and cute, goes 40 mph, and i loved it! i would encourage a lot of people to buy this car! great city car!

  • I agree with what you said, that this would be the future. Not sure I advocate cars continuing to dominate our lives, however at least electric would be quieter and perhaps safer for pedestrians (for now) since they don't have the capability of drag racing, ie zero to 60 in 5 - 7 seconds, etc. ;)

    Thanks!!

  • take a look at the Tesla car and the Atom, you'll be surprised

  • Electric Cars are not weak.

This Car is a Neighborhood car, so it was toned down.

  • I saw it in Seattle for $12K.

  • I heard on the news tonight it was $14000.

  • $17K? The dealers I spoke with quoted $10-$13K for those...

Think that is just additional dealer mark-up, or does that one have the new EEstor battery system?

  • that EEstor battery system is probably a hoax...guessing on how secretive they are
