Actually this system was taken apart and the enclosures are going to be used for another install. I have 8 of the drivers I would like to sell as a set.
Bass starts at :35 Yes, the system is clear even at 100 feet from the stacks. There were 6 events thrown in this warehouse with Dj's and live bands playing through the stack.

Yeah, no kidding. And I'm not the one in any of these videos, so If this guy met me in person he might think twice about that comment. But it's a free world- everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Good call on the Dayton 18's ! A few years back I used a pressed frame variation of this 18 with a smaller magnet structure. They were extremely efficient. I ended up buying a total of 16 drivers. We put 8 in a clamshell in my Astro Van and then later the same eight ended up in a 8-18" manifold enclosure in my Fullsize Silverado. The other eight went into double 18" manifold PA bottoms running off 4 old school Urei 6500 dual monoblock amps. Sounded fantastic.
are those under powered really badly or those boxs not got enough air space? cause i useto have a set of mtx 6000 15's n i ran em with 400rms each and got alot more out of em, they can handle up to around 800w i think peak so around 400,500rms, i got mtx 8000 15's now and love em, u kno were i can get some more 6000's? i want the newer chrome ones tho not the silver, thats the kind i useto have tho, anyways sounds good tho keep up the good work
Underpowered would be closer to the situation. Although the real culprit here is the fact the camera has a high-pass filter to protect the microphone from overload. As of finding 6000's MTX told me no more are available. So searching for them used is the only solution.
Agreed, would have been more impressive but this was a "caught at the moment video" I could have made something better if I set it up for filming. Seeing the full soap can dancing caught my attention.
dude wtf? thats alotta mtx;s and nice amps, set you could push 2 and would sound better most likely, great tho dude lol, seems punchy and high freq, wheres ur eQ ?
The EQ Setting was flat. High end was a pair of Powered Mackie 1503's That were on the second floor facing down to the first floor. Unfortunately the camera I was using was a portable and it has a high pass filter built in for overload so I wasn't able to capture how much low end there was. Ideally one PM1.5a per set of 3 woofers would have been best.
Now that's a lot of bass. It's too bad your camera can't pick up the massive bass. Is this in your garage? Are these your speakers? If there your's, your lucky, LOL. I wish I was there!
This was the system we used to listen to while we were working on building other audio systems. So it was the "shop system". Most people use a old boom box or a headunit off a power supply. We figured 12-15" would get us more motivated. But sometimes we wouldn't even get any work doen because we would be listening to tracks through it.
LOL, you uploaded this vid 11 months ago, I comment 10 months ago, and all of your comments are less than 15 hours ago. Is this the first time you've logged on since then? And yeah, a "motivative" system sounds like something I'd make, then get distracted : ).
Yes, actually I haven't been on this site for awhile. I am moving to a new shop as we speak. Hopefully there I will make some new designs and make some new video's of them. I wan't to get a camera that allows me to use a external mic as well.

can a fosgate ampp 500w power 2 of these 12's 4ohm
16bongripsz420 2 years ago
Actually these subs are very efficient, a 500 watt fosgate would be an great pairing as long as your impedance load matches up correctly.
