  • I would say that there are 5 pitchers in the world who you could say is the best.

    1. Yukiko Ueno - Throws very hard, has a great changeup, thats why i think she is the best.

    2. Monica Abbott - I dont think anyone could throw faster than her. But she has to improve on her change.

    3. Cat Osterman - Just a great all-around pitcher.

    4. Jennie Finch - She's good, but not the best.

    5. Danielle Lawrie - I used to think she was fantastic, but she gets pounded by pro teams.

  • YAY! UENO-SAN ROCKS!

  • Disagree, she left after the pitcher had released, not when she just released, a drag bunt and a slapping can be the samething to me especially if your slapping a fastball. Like this at the very end: watch?v=YjZMXgCRb2U

Generally with bunting you hold the bat with one of your hands at the barrel. Too me if you don't do a full swing and you just hold the bat in front of you no matter your position or "style" thats a bunt. That is why I consider bunt and slap to be the samething.

  • What the hell was the batter doing?

  • umm have you never heard of slapping?

  • Ya I have heard of it but she wasn't even doing it. She just moved forward with nothing from the bat, she didn't even try to bring the bat down to slap it.

  • no i don't think you have heard of it because moving forward like that is exactly how you slap hit a ball, but you don't swing every single time or else you'll get a strike, just like regular batting

  • No, I have heard of it, you move forward and move the bat down as if your going to bunt it then depending on what the pitcher has thrown you move the bat away if its a ball, she just moved forward like an idiot, she didn't even look like she was going to slap it.

  • Which is why the pitcher threw a strike instead of a ball because all natasha did was just move forward after the pitcher had released the ball.

  • Actually slappers are supposed move at release of the pitch as Natasha did so what you said makes no sense. Leaving before the release makes it even more obvious what kind of hit you're going to do and makes you more prone to misjudging the pitches timing, meaning a simple change-up or off speed with take you out easily. trrust me i know this sport.

  • No, actually thats a drag bunt close but not quite. A slap is meant to be driven towards the gap between 3rd and Shortstop and the moving forward is to catch the ball before a break so you can get good hitting placement on the ball so it will go where its supposed to and you are already in motion to sprint down to firstbase thats why slappers are so fast. She was watching the pitch but misjudged it.

  • she is such an amazing pitcher.

I met her in Canada when she was here before the olympics.

The Japanese team is so friendly!

  • She pitched over 600 balls at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics in 4 days.

  • omg i am in love with yukiko ueno and natasha watley!!! <3

  • Ueno-san was amazing. They always talk about how complete games in MLB are a thing of the past, how MLB pitchers usually go 6 innings, have 4 days of rest between starts... Ueno-san made well over 400 pitches in 2 days! That is spectacular! The MLB needs to step it up and see this example!

  • Yukiko Ueno you are AWESOME!!!!! I am an Amercian and respect the CAT the Jennie alot. But credit should be given where deserved. You beat those U.S. softball girls. I would have liked the U.S. to have won but being a sportman. Congratulations. Wow what an AWESOME performance.

  • we also respect bustos

  • Bustos is so famous in Japan.

  • Bustos I guess is Yukiko Ueno. She did a great job!

  • U go Yukiko!!!!!

  • What a spitfire... well done Japan...
