@Vamphaery No, sadly, this was a test run for an animated series around season six. The basic idea was adapted for a comic, where Buffy goes back to being in high school and having a young Dawn to look after, and thinking how she fawned over Angel before with everything that had happened since then...she says herself how it was so innocent then.

I like Giselle Loren's sarcastic voice, it brings an interesting dimension to Buffy which works.

It is a shame they didn't go along with this series- the beginning itself perfectly sets out the tone and almost the point of Buffy. You think she's the damsel in distress for about a minute then she kicks bottom.

This was to take place during Season 1. It incorporated the "retconned" history that includes Dawn (Once Dawn appeared, it was as though she'd always been there). Her inclusion targeted the 10-15 year-old demographic. You'll notice that all comics published Post-Dawn that take place before Season 5 also include her.

Just so you all know. This video is really the first episode of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV Series. It just wasnt aired on television. The first episode "Welcome to the Hellmouth" was actually the second episode just in real life form.

I have to say I'm an ultra-Buffy fan but I don't think this would have been all that great. Yeah, it looks funny and amusing, but why make a cartoon of the early years. We've seen so much since then, why would we want to go back and miss out potentially seeing some of the characters we saw later on. Or see how the story after Season 7 played out? Make a cartoon series of that. The Season 8 comics are excellent so I can't complain. I still pray for a movie someday. <3
