oh seriously.. if u can't watch this video without laughing your ass off... get a fucking grip. it's great and you have to at least see a bit of that. come on, you may be thinking "wtf??" at the start but don't tell me you haven't cracked a smile, or aren't cracking up, by nightmare/lotd..? and dear god, let me have gotten those songs right before some mini prima donnas slam me for it. it's dancing, it's fun- that's all that matters.
omg!! why are people gettin so worked up about this!! im scottish bt from irish decent n i think its bloody hilarious so calm down!! im sure michael flatley wouldnt take offence, hed prob piss himself laughin if he ever saw it!!
C'est vraiment énorme, je suis encore mort de rire !!!! Celui qui est super aussi c'est celui qui a le costume rouge avec la croix dessus, a 5min02 il nous fait une danse a se pisser dessus !!!
Oh come on, people. It seems that most of us posting are in Irish Step (I, too, am in it) and the ones who are getting all upset need a sense of humor. I found this halarious. Seeing the real Lord of the Dance over and over made it funnier 'cause then you can compare how it's supposed to look, and how people made fun of it. And that's just it, made FUN. Just relax a little, loosen up.
I thought it was cute and funnny. Relax a little, dancing is supposed to be fun. The cast looked like they were having a good time and the audience seemed to enjoy it too. It became pretty damn obvious that it wasn't really an Irish dance performance five seconds into Siasma.
You being Irish has nothing to do with anything. I would like to see a video making a parody of tap, ballet jazz, any of that. You know why no one makes fun of that stuff? Because they know its hard. So is Irish step.
People make fun of ballet plenty (nevermind the people who buy pointe shoes with no ballet training and try to 'dance' in them). In ballet there are actual companies devoted to making fun of ballet, probably most notably Les Ballets Trockadero. This choreography, if not executed by the most technically experienced dancers, was obviously done by someone knowledgeable who can laugh at themself. "Michael Flatley" even has a couple steps that I could swear he pulled from ballet...
Ha ha. Nice. THe Michael Flately inpersination if pretty funny, I think almost any one can agree. However, I really would like to know why so many people love to make fun of Irish Dancers or Irish Dance in general. Have you ever TRIED to actually Irish Dance. I mean taking lessons and going to competitions and getting beat after you thought you would place? I know that every Irish Dancer out there(including myself) would really apreshiate it if people would just stop making fun of us.
Wow, I wish I could flounce around like an idiot to irish music. Oh wait, I can ACTUALLY irish dance. Okay that may have been harsh, and I know it's just a parody (and actually, the Michael Flately is pretty funny) but this whole video is really insulting to people who have spent years working on this hard, unique dance form. You'll find irish dancers are pretty sensitive, because our dance form is the only one that really gets mocked so much.
I understand where you're coming from. I've been a dancer of many styles myself for nearly 20 years...including Irish. So I know personally what sort of hard work is involved, having experienced it myself. That being said...I also know the importance of being able to laugh at yourself, and not taking yourself so seriously all the time.
Exactly. I'm an Irish dancer and I take no offense at this whatsoever. People DO need to stop taking themselves so seriously, and getting offended at every little thing. And I've seen people make fun of tap and ballet as well, so Irish dancing has no monopoly on the mockery market.
very silly... the guy with bare feet was the funniest

^Of course it doesn't look like LOD, it's a parody. I'm a Irish dancer, and I think it's a little funny. ;]
