Actually the tree house is free standing at the tree it self. I just boxed out the floor as you can see in the video. I let it rest on a limb by the main trunk of the tree. The leg posts can not go into the concrete because they will rot. Use a pre fab. concrete block with build in metel supports. avilable at any building suppli store.That way you will have all the wood above and safe from rot. make sue to use termite treated wood for at least the legs of the tree house.

@rmassie11 No, the tree has to be trimmed from time to time. But this allows you to train the branches to shape the way you want them.

Well it was all new material. Some of it is pressure treated lumber. I want to say about 65.00-70.00.

with the hardware all about $100.00

Looks good ! I recommend you add more screws to your pine railing boards at least 2 as you only have one screw it seems. This will increae safety and prevent the boards from warping

I have planted a new tree that is under the tree house right now. it is also an avocado tree. This tree will grow to support the tree house entirely in about 5 years. The roof is a canopy of the existing tree it self. I am triming and traning the limbs to cover the over head. It is also part of the climbimg limbs.

The roof is a tree canopy that is growing over the top and will also be part of the climbing limbs. I admit that it is taking sometime to train the limbs but I think that it is worth the wait.
