This game is more than 4 years old... But it keeps being good. The grahics is better, than in this video. The pve is great! The pvp is lacking a little bit after my opinion. They are about to make another pvp area, so I have good thoughs about that.
About the f2p... The game is f2p until a sertant point. You don't have nerly as much content, if you don't buy or make single payments here and there. But yes. You will be able to lvl to 50 and after that you need to buy those exp..TRYitITSgood!
It is the same as wow BUT just better because it has a REAL history that is full with feelings! So it is better than wow... i have played for 2 months and i think it is AMAZING!!
To be honest. I was somewhat disapointed with this game. Im a huge fan of Toliens work, but as an MMORPG i just dont think it worked. I just felt the lack of oposeing factions let it down. The idea of having two completeley oposite factions could of opened up windows to amazing PVP, and brilliant story lines,and it could open players eyes to the REAL orc, not some glory hunter, but a bloodthirsty savage. I just feel a game with nothing BUT pve the game just had no challenge.
These Devs at turbine are fucking PRICKS! I would crush their fucking skull if I could. Name any mmo out there that causes all your skills to go gray-unuseable and you drop to your knee for 10-20 seconds??? This kind of shit happens repeatedly in this game...all the way man..all the way to lvl 65. The devs are so obvious with their bullshit...they purposely try to slow your gameplay down at every chance they get. This is the most anal shitty mmo ever made...made by ASSHOLE PRICKS..no fun

Lord of The Rings Online, is different style. (Depends on person) It's more serious, interesting, better community, since it's slower timeline and older users. How time is passing, more and more wonderful experience you will see. If you look for a different life in a fantasy-reality world, you found it. If you have time, this is a wonderful choice who couldn't be on 1.30-3hours, is more than enough.

@Malfinnien I'd have to disagree. I love the story that goes along with LotRO, but I think WoW has a deeper gameplay experience. WoW doesn't have great graphics, though. What makes it a great game is the raiding and grouping experience.

I came to see this video because I was intrigued by it. I even downloaded the trial. I never once said I disliked Lord of the Rings. I was just reviewing the game. Well if thats so, then the book itself was released before Warcraft, however the movies and the games weren't. I have read/seen the LOTR nocels and movies and I don't find the geography of the locations/areas to be remotely the same as warcraft.

You hardly follow Frodo's journey you have your own, your not battling sauron, you fight the nazgul sometimes but other then that your fighting new evil treats to defend the north, you can't go south yet.

This game is only a carbon copy of WoW, just w/ better graphics. Let's see what does LoTR SoA have that WoW doesn't? There's the indentical screen layout, pvp, instances (they couldn't call it something else, not even a dungeon), abilities have a charge up and cooldown meter... enough said.

This game is amazing. I've been playing for a year now, and have never gotten bored of it.
The classes, gameplay and graphics are far superior to WoW.
It also follows the bookverse and not the movie; which is good for Tolkien fans pissed off at how the films twisted the canon.

I came to see this video because I was intrigued by it. I even downloaded the trial. I never once said I disliked Lord of the Rings. I was just reviewing the game. Well if thats so, then the book itself was released before Warcraft, however the movies and the games weren't. I have read/seen the LOTR nocels and movies and I don't find the geography of the locations/areas to be remotely the same as warcraft.

And, I never once said that Wow was created before LOTR, I said clearly that WoW was created before LOTRO(Lord of the Rings ONLINE) Also, I don't recall ever saying that LOTR wasn't original. I said that the game engine of LOTRO was similar to thatof wow.

You hardly follow Frodo's journey you have your own, your not battling sauron, you fight the nazgul sometimes but other then that your fighting new evil treats to defend the north, you can't go south yet.

This game is only a carbon copy of WoW, just w/ better graphics. Let's see what does LoTR SoA have that WoW doesn't? There's the indentical screen layout, pvp, instances (they couldn't call it something else, not even a dungeon), abilities have a charge up and cooldown meter... enough said.

1. Wow was made 4 years ago AND it's graphics are meant to be the way it is it is based off of the warcraft games.
2. Have you seen blizzards cinematic trailers? I have yet to see today better trailers graphic wise.
3. Age of Conan will be better than both so stop whining.
4. WoW is better than Lotro so just suck it up and accept it.

They way WoW looks is the style Blizzard uses ever since Warcraft. They make the videos and in-game movies better looking because it is the way they produce the game. you always spend more time on a trailer/ingame movie to draw more attention to the game.
