It didn't snow much all winter? 2007-2008 was one of Toronto's snowiest winters ever with nearly 200cm at Pearson, and over 200cm downtown. And the March 8th snowstorm wasn't even the biggest storm of the season. (February 6, 2008 & December 15-16, 2007).
I didn't even realize that we had a snowier day than March 8. I guess it fell down in such a heap that it felt like the biggest snow storm of the year.
Yeah, it was a hell of a snowy winter! We had over 300 cm of snow here in Montreal, but at least it wasn't that cold. Only about 6 days with a min. temperature below -20C.

Not NY, but Toronto, Canada over-looking Lake Ontario (which is somewhere behind the furthest condos in the background).
