We are looking at this piece of our community band. I love that the hymnal "Come, Thou Font of Everything Blessing" is in the the last part of the piece starting with low brass and french horns.
I can't even begin to imagine how much fun this must have been to play nor conduct. Everything was put together so well. The balance is perfect. Incredible piece!
Most definitely an extremely musical presentation - I absolutely love it. It is not only a brilliant performance, but the Composer & Arrangers both did an exceptional job with it. Bravo!
The piece is simple but wonderful in texture and harmony. This is a sound band of adults with a flare of good sounding music that's good to the ears of music lovers such as I.Thanks YOUTUBE for this love of things in this world of ours.
Please check out the international wind music event »OrkesterkamP« held in Slovenia (24th-29th august 2009).
You can apply either for a conducting course held by Douglas Bostock (Tokyo Kosei) as well as for instrumental courses for flute, saxophone, clarinet, marimba, percussion, low brass, french horn or trumpet.
Pleasant environment and unbeatable price (220 euro in total with ful board and lodging) are reason enough to join.
I thought it was cool, along with all of the other songs from the Minnesota Symphonic Winds. I do really enjoy this because my band teacher is in it (he's a clarinet player with a beard). Go Mr. Wixson!
baritones, rocking the music like normal
