Well, that last bit is an interesting point. I think England fans got sick of watching other English people starting fights, smashing up bars etc at tournaments and now want to take the same attitude as the rugby and cricket fans. Certainly the last World Cup our fans caused little or no bother. As for the World Cup being a one off, well 1970, 1986, 2002 and 2006 would show we have issues getting past the quarter finals. Hopefully under Capello that will change.
