i´ve been searching for an origami star for years, for my christmas tree. i´m so happy that i found yours this year! it´s wonderful, and you make it so easy step-by-step, your didactic is excelent!
i´m sorry to read (on the previous post) that you´ve lost your interest in youtube... guess we gotta respect that.
Let *me* thank *you*: because to know to have given some little help is a rewarding satisfaction!
I'm sorry for having expressed my actual feelings towards YT so directly...
It's because of personal matters, having gained higher places in my interests/priorities chart... but it's also because this origami thing kinda overshadowed much of my other, original YT production: music and a short movie that imho deserve way more recognition than these tutorials... this has ended to frustrate me...
You're very kind.,.. but, honestly, in the last months, even because of personal issues, I've lost a lot of my interest in YouTube... I'll probably add something to the origami Christmas Nativity scene... but I can't promise that I will make any other figures.
Of course, I think it would not be fair, towards you all, to take requests that I'm not motivated enough to fullfill...
Second, with your favorite wordprocessor/graphic software/by hand, draw/color/cut one or two squares of paper from an A4 sheet of paper... and you have all that it takes: notice that it's just what I did for all of my tutorials.
Dont pay attention to him any smart person can watch this and understand it, i notice u wrote different languages in the description so they make sence to everyone :)
and please only someone really stupid wouldnt understand this tutorials
Your words are a great confirmation, about this tutorials... of course, I don't pretend to claim it's perfect, because everything can be made better... but I agree, I think too that on an average basis it's quite understandable!
For some reason, whenever I read how to do this on the Web or in my Origami notes, I always got stuck on two particular steps. After watching your video, while my folding could use a bit more precision (but I DID use an old piece of copy paper this time, after going through about three or four sheets of origami paper, with no success and much frustration), I actually have a reasonable facsimile of the star! Thanks for ALL your origiami videos ... I've used them many times.
Sorry, I'm seeing only know this and your previous comment... oh, well, I'm glad you got it... it always goes like this, with origami: it takes to try, and try, and try again, looking at the thing from all the possible points of view!
First of all, happy trying... and thank you for stopping by and commenting! ^_^
In second place... please, leave me a comment on the frog base pointing out the step(s) giving you any problems: I'll try, as much as I can, to give you some hints... in this way I'll be able to help other people eventually having similar problems with it! ^_^
After the opening titles, in the subtitles it's written that some parts are required before doing this part: and in the description you can find all the links to those parts!
To stuff everything in a single video, from the plain square to the finished figure would force me to go too fast: but it would not be my style!
And I can make origami too fast, I guess: I'm a newbie, after all! ^_^
Naaah, is not necessarily a matter of how much you're gentle... probably it's more a matter of how much flexible and strong is the paper! ;-)
And, I'm sure you'll succeed!
I tell you: I'm usually a disaster in doing things with my goofy hands... hence, if I can do these origami figures myself... well, everybody can do it! ^_^
Once again thanks to you for your feedback: as you can see, these video are seen by *thousands* people... but not everybody take the time to leave their opinion: instead, you are one of those doing it!
i've always been wondering this.. how come in all ur videos about origami, theres a part that flashes the finished piece, but then goes back to ur regular folding instructions?
YT gives the chance to use the frames (the images) at 25%, 50%, 75% of the whole length for to use them (just one at a time, by the way) as the thumbnail of the video.
In this way, I can manage things so that you all may see how that origami model is gonna result... before you begin do make it! ;-)
This is a curious thing, indeed: you are the second person, today, wondering if this is a design of mine... hmmm, I guess I'd have to write it, in the descriptions of these videos...

It is, in facts: that base is the "Sunken bird base", made beginning from the bird base!
The links to all of them are in the description!

The origami?
Or maybe the way I move my fingers?
^_^
danbergam 1 year ago
why do you wiggle your fingers in front of the lens??
danny3347840 1 year ago
@danny3347840
In my intentions it's a version for fingers of the waving of a hand meaning a friendly "Hello!"/"Goodbye!"!

First, the thinner the paper, the better is.
Second, with your favorite wordprocessor/graphic software/by hand, draw/color/cut one or two squares of paper from an A4 sheet of paper... and you have all that it takes: notice that it's just what I did for all of my tutorials.

You are an idiot , you don't know to make an tutorial (no music,no explications, nada) so go fuck yourself
NoS4A2DK 2 years ago
Don't you know that with your computer you may listen to whatever music you want while watching a video?!?
English is not my first language, if I tried to fold and talk at the same time the final result would be bad.
I show everything it's needed to be shown: isn't this enough?!?
You heavily offend me... for what?!
For something you don't like?!?
Is your complain more important than giving respect to a human being?!?
I really wish you to understand what really matters in Life.

step 19 my paper riped when i tried to push it down
1111jony11 3 years ago
Eh, that step requires, as I show, to go slow and to make the adiacent square's angles near to the one you're folding...
Probably, the ripping or not may more or less easily happen according to the type of paper you're using...
danbergam 3 years ago
oh well it looked fine with me so oh well im going to try again later im going to make frog right now
