  • GREAT TRACK FROM ONE OF BRITAINS BEST

  • groovy hawkwind

  • In the cold grey-mask of morning I cry out But no-one feels the sound that I shout and you don't hear me through the tears you've shed and the dream-world that you've found Will one day drag you down The mirror of illusion reflects the smile The world from your back door seems so wide The house, so tiny it is from inside A box that you're still living in I cannot see for why You think you've found perception's doors They open to a lie
  • ALWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • val alemaal best mee. best best

  • Does anyone know if Jefferson Airplane and/or Acid Mothers were influenced by this band? just wondering..

  • @MrsClippit no they weren't I can safely say so of the airplane because they formed in late 64 long before hawkwind who formed best I know in the UK when the airplane had crown of creation or bless it's pointed little head on the charts. Hawkwind may have been slightly inspired by them!

  • @moxie96 Yer spot on mate West Coast music was leaps and bounds ahead of us...Quicksilver Messenger Service were on the road before the Beatles or at least gigging anywaze..

  • @unviciouscircle Mate the Beatles were gigging well before QMS They were actually formed from The Quarrymen John Lennon's group and were gigging in Germany well b4 QMS were gigging in the states.

  • A track to play when you wake up in the morning after a REALLY heavy night. Memories! Memories! What music! What talent, many thanks!

  • Hippie morons indeedy! That is an oxymoron, rather like y..be rude elsewhere!

  • Huw - Lloyd Langton = 1 fucking ace gutarist

  • @SuperNobby65 ...unfortunately, the States are completely unaware of the brilliance of this band.!

  • @gunner65441 and yet they played storming tours in the USA with Man supporting...ever heard the 1999 Party Tour? Well worth grabbing ...

  • @gunner65441 @unviciouscircle..Thank you for the reply..I'm not too familiar with anything they've done since 1983, but look forward to exploring more of their most recent work..! :)

  • @gunner65441 I like space, and I like rock... So I decided to start researching the "Space rock" genre lol. This music is fucking brilliant... It really struck something inside me.

  • more garbage music from hippie morons

  • @BetterTasteThanU i forgive you for your true ignorance , but why does your name suggest otherwise ? If all else fails , you can always resort to name calling .Thank you for your opinion anyway . Peas and love ;-)

  • Awesome!!!

  • ALWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND!!!!

  • great bassline to play .. one of my fav Hawk songs ever :)

  • not many know about this band but there soo good

  • It's a Bromfiets without Brom, thats the flow we need to have...It's like Super8, and I like this stuff!

  • Hawkwind is unpolished Pink Floyd

  • @marvdbult with more speed and aggression to boot

  • @TheGreaterGood80 but i love them both

  • @marvdbult that's kind of like saying a Vespa is a more polished version of a Harley.

  • @kemicon A Vespa is a poor mans Harley

We were going to a festie on the A10 Northwards when we had to stop for a LOO Break , anf this MOB in the next laybi were listenig , and dancing to HAWKWIND playing live on theback of a LORRY!!..Which was nice :D We never made it too the festival, and my mate kissed Nick Turner

  • man the bass in ballroom blitz is the exact same as this

  • but this is obviously much better...and older :)

  • @gordthelord12

You know that mate! How odd that a rather 'skint'...'Lemme a fiver till tuesday...' Mr Kidderminster. I, was SUCH a dandelion hippy , and then got thrown out the band for certain habits, and then all hail the head of Motor etc ETC. incidentally i just got hold of the damneds machine gun ettiquette , and sure nuff , B.BLITZ is on there , plus a few other intesting track's

ps i used to watch the sweet on totp when i was like 5 ! oh dear...

  • @porridgeisnice hahaha interesting story man, a skint motorhead should always make a nice bassist :)

    Sad

  • it all has been a mirror of illusion for 52 big ones.

i think it said something about getting you 'out there' on the cover of this album without various

drugs. paranoia was the opening track

  • Ah the days of our youth spent flying through the clouds with dear hawkwind by our sides there faithfull music pulling us through the void of peace and freedom,

truly thoughts that will never leave me, just brilliant, always will be...............

  • I remember doing this silly dance to the bass line of this song in a big f##k off puddle in Buxton of my tits on mushrooms, and all these bikers were taking the piss...but by the end they joined in...doing this dance to this wikked bassline...happy days..noiseovshadow

  • .. loving this.. this tale.. thats what its all about ..fine tale

shamelessly on one,..with playfulness ,until the onlookers want a part of it and join in..like it ..great story,

  • yes, 'those bloody 'mushys. help me father.

  • I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the posting of this song! For years and years this has been one of my favorites! And yeah, I still have the original album!

  • This legendary band were eons ahead of their time.

Agree, it's a great album, only bettered by DoReMi......

  • The best track from their first album, Huw Lloyd Langton on lead guitar.

They re-worked this track on their 1991 album 'Electric Tepee' and re-titled it 'Mask of Morning'

  • I've got to go one better. First heard Hawkwind on a government radio station back in the early '70's!

  • Heard this today on local psychedelic radio show and found your upload. Awesome stuff! Much appreciated!

  • thanks ...
