Thanks! I didn't know there were more than one series. I think it was mainly meant to be a display model but I built it to fly RC designed for .020 glow engine, then modified for electric. I used common silver Solar Film for covering.
The DC-3 would be great as a flying model. If you use iron on covering you should sand the balsa items and prime the wood to get rid of the fuzz because everything shows through. I wish I had done that on the Spirit.
if i was ever to build one of those RC planes for sure it would be the Spirit of St louis, that was an amazing and under appreciated little airplane

That's nice! You got the Super Detailed series from Guillows huh? I'm building the Douglas DC-3 one. What did you use to cover it?
